Xbox 360 pad with PS3??

Is there such a thing as an adapter to let me use my 360 pad with a PS3? I know you can get adapters for the playstation controllers for PC but don't think I have heard about anything for the 360 pads.

That is rather cool but the reason I am asking is not because I do not like using a Sixaxis/DS3 but purely for monetary reasons. I do not really want to fork out 30 odd quid for another controller if I thought I could just spend a couple of quid on an adapter. Looks like I will have to buy another cheap Sixaxis, think you can get them for around £17 right?
