I was part way through my second play through of Heavy Rain last night when the bug kicked in and signed me out, if I've lost all the trophies I earned I'm going to be more than a little miffed put it that way.
Well done Sony, you finally release a game I want to play that's exclusive to the PS3 and then three days later you turn my system into a DVD player that doesn't even know the date. Seriously, well done.
Seem's the general consensus is there seeing if it will tick over back into normality afer 24 hours. One thing gets me though and I'm don't think I'm the only one thinkings this, if the 24 hours wait period doesn't solve it will they even be able to fix this via software/update if the console is refusing to connect to the PSN at hardware level ?

Well I got home this evening with no intention of turning mine on only to find the wife watching a dvd!

If your desperate you can take of the cover and reset the CMOS battery, the only thing is it could always happen again in the future.
Turned mine on couldnt sign in, downloaded Heavy Rain update and now cant play it because it cant update trophies.
Tried it on my friends without being online and it still tries to update trophies and is unplayable and his clock is reset so it's definetly an internal clock error, and it's happend to everyone around the world at the same time with the FAT's....hhmm goverment plot...Terrorist plot...it's like a episode from flashforward.
flashforward....pretty damn bad huh well as long as i dont have to pay for ANYTHING when it comes to getting mine sorted im a happy chappy, otherwise things are going to get bad....and i might have to go dirtbox

mine is still in warranty until the 29th so if its not sorted by then it will be back off the Gamestation for a replacement which I assume isn't out of the question, faulty product and all ?

i think everyone would be entiltled to a replacement? its a fault caused by sony....not us and im pretty sure electronic stuff has a 6 year no defect "like" warranty dont hold me to that but thats a totaly different matter...i wouldnt want to send my ps3 of as id lose my save data on some games! (protective saves) not impressed and really want to go on my ps3 but dont dare turn it on...it was on standby when i got home and the switch was flicked once i got the call about it!

I'll be trying mine at midnight to see if Sony have resolved (read: sat on their hands and watched the clock) the problem, I'll post back here with the results...
