As said before installing games is a must, reduces chance to damage disk... and mainly reduces the volume of the console.

I was wondering the same thing before buying my xbox, but ended up getting the 4gb one because for one, it looks alot better, and two you can use the old xbox harddrives in them, ive got a 60gb one in mine and ive had no problems. mine worked out at £130 including the hardrive and am very pleased i didnt get the glossy 250gb model

250GB version I bought the 4GB version and regretted it almost instantly.

its relatively easy to mod your own 2.5inch harddrive though and get a proper fitting enclosure but for what your actually saving around £10-15 not sure whether its worth even that small amount of hassle.

Personally I went for the 250 GB because i end up downloading so many demos and dlc, and I like installing the games.

Got the 250gb myself... Only got 200gb left, I know it's still loads. You go through 4gb quite easily and faster than you might think.

Don't really see the need for 250GB if you own a PC. I've got either 10 or 20GB I've had it so long i don't remember, all the saved games and everything take very little space, unless you are planning to use it as a multimedia stating and get loads of things from marketplace, I'd go with 4GB
