250 is a must... 4gb is to little and will not be enough to download demos and other things.

I still wouldn't go for a 4gb model. Most games require updates or have DLC and all that takes up space (as well as the save games).

If you've got a 360 you'll still need the storage space and the 4gb model (like the arcade before it) is almost useless. I found the 20gb launch model to be frustratingly small.

    Re: A Xbox with 250 or 4GB?

Best Idea is, get the 4GB, as its unscratchable and then either get an external hdd or the 250hdd from the other one...

    Re: A Xbox with 250 or 4GB?

looks like the initial date of the thread is being ignored so I'll add my 2p.

I had the 20GB Premium model, and while that was fine initially, it didn't take long to use up the space with save games, DLC and XBLA games so you only had room for one disk to be installed at a time. With only 4GB you would fill it in no time, and can't install games without buying additional USB memory sticks.

I upgraded to a 120GB harddrive and it's just so much less hassle - you don't have to worry about running out of space, or having to constantly keep on top of any demos or videos you have downloaded. If you want to download larger map packs for the likes of COD, Gears or Halo you don't have to worry, and you can have several games installed from disk.

    The 250gb with out doubt.

You could get the 4gb and use usb drives for extra storage but tbh in the long run it's best to get the 250gb.

I got mine with 4GB and regretted it with the amount of external hard drives I've gone through.

Only get the 4gb if you don't want any demos or don't want to install any of your games.

    Re: A Xbox with 250 or 4GB?

I got the 4GB last year purely because I had a 60gb leftover from an old console. Even if you don't use it a great deal, it will quickly be used up with all the updates and potential dlc for games. They are cheap enough now anyway, you can get a 250GB console for £130 in store at Comet (if it has stock) or £110 used at Game with a 12 month warranty.

    Re: A Xbox with 250 or 4GB?

    Get the 250GB mate.
4GB is never gonna be enough.
Some arcade games are over 1GB now. Demos are also breaking the 1GB barrier. A few map packs will also break 1GB.

    250GB is the best choice.

4GB is very little room for a console. Go with 250GB
