I agree Night's Dawn would make a great set of films, a true space opera (no I don't mean with singing ) But feel that it would need more than 3 films to do it justice, and even then would you be able to capture the true essence of what was going on?

Night's dawn would work better as a 6 season telly series tbh... It's too big and immersive to be captured properly in one, or even three films.....

Only if you want him to have a nervous breakdown, ensure that everyone else on the cast and crew has one too, engage in huge contractual disputes, regard every character as "disposable", make endless dodgy TV/straight to video movies based on it,and cast Bruce Boxleitner as Joshua Calvert...

Seriously, though, I LOVED B5, but no, no a THOUSAND times no...

"Nichomach is always right. I will LISTEN to Nichomach. I will NOT ignore Nichomach's recommendations. Nichomach is GOD." Trust me on this...and "Sorry about the God part...just kidding..."

All the ones I can think of are being done

Good Omens - being done (maybe/maybe not) by Terry Gilliam
The Talisman - Great fantasy tale of a book being done by Stephen Spielburgers
War of the Worlds - I hope this keeps the time period the original is from done by Spielburgers again.
Other than that Gon (not Tekken 3 but the Manga) done in CGI would be damn cool.

Erm, of the top of my head...

Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency/The Long Dark Tea Time of the soul- Douglas Adams

    His Dark Materials- Phillip Pullman

The Secret History - Donna Tart

Anything by Christophere Brookmyre- Would make some of the best Action films ever IMHO

oh, and a Knight Rider movie, with the Hasselhoff himself.
    The Caped Crusader :-)

Any Stainless Steel Rat book (Harry Harrison). Loved them as a kid.
A proper re-working of Spike Milligan's war memoirs.
Neuromancer, as has been mentioned already. Classic.
