What film would you like to see made?

Read an article in my friends Sci-Fi mag about films based on superheros / comics / kids TV programs that are to be released. However it also had a bit about what else they could do (with a comedy slant of course - I mean Jamie and the Magic torch as a summer blockbuster..... )

    Still they did mention a few that I though could be good (as live action not just animated);

    Thundercats (Cheetara)
    Centurions

So what would you like to see made, and who'd star in it?

Sinister Dexter from 2000AD or a proper Judge Dredd film.

Think Wesley Snipes would make a good Dexter not sure about Sinister though

ABC warriors or Rogue Trooper would also be cool.

    Magician......by Raymond E Feist.

Second to none, and it would be better than LOTR. And there are 2 more to follow up the film and spin off books if needed

I'd like to see a witchblade movie. The TV series was ace, but it needs a bigger budget!

I preferred the witchblade comic, *far* better IMHO

I'm still waiting for the Fathom Movie too..

TF would be cool, as long as it wasn't too cheesy like the cartoons are these days, and the modern TF stuff just plain sucks
If they made it I'd like to see it similar to the Dreamwave TF G1 comics, a bit darker, and a bit more edgey

Thundercats would seriously rock, especially if they did a proper adult fighter version.

Wildmonkey - Live action Transformers is in the works, a friend of mine applied to be on the animation team but got turned down.

Halflife film (as discussed in the thread in gaming).
I dont like sig pics so i turn off sigs Which doesnt help when i dont know what ive written here! DOH!

The many coloured land - Julian May

    Watchmen - Alan Moore

The Incal - Moebius (although this has already been partly done by Heavy Metal mag)

And last but not least a "proper" Batman movie based on the wonderful Dark Knight Returns - Alan Moore. It'd be set in a completely different timeline so it wouldn't have anything to do with the previous films. Oh, and Tim Burton could come back and direct it. Or maybe David Lynch for some extra strangeness

I like the Sinister / Dexter idea, and agree snipes would be good. Initially thought of Johnny Depp for dexter but am not sure now.

ABC warriors would be great, especially if mixed in with a bit of Nemesis.

Zak - good to see you back buddy, A darkness a Sethanon would make a great final film

I'd like to see Snowcrash or Altered Carbon as a film, but am always wary of film versions of cyberpunk novels, just thinking about Johhny Mnemonic makes my skin crawl

Neal Stephenson does have a film agent listed on his page. And I seem to remember reading that Snowcrash HAS been optioned but not much else has been done with it.
Saying that there is some nice concept art to see here:

    You know it
    I know it....

Silverthorn would be the one for me tho....with the big Hadati Hill Man and his dog, fighting to defend Arutha (Arthur) as he comes back from the lake.............

    gona all shivery...

Imagine Pug casting his fist spell, drowning the trolls.....or Squire Roland saving Princess Carline by rushing down into the cellar, trippin arse over apex and falling INTO the hole in the cellar flor in amongst the Tsurani warriors in their bright coloured armour.

Imagine Father Tully and imagine Jimmy the Hand.

Imagine the nighthawks stalking Arutha through the town...

Imagine Laurie and Pug on the Tsurani world, and then Milamber (Pug) as a Great One smiting the Great Games .

and IMAGINE MACROS THE BLACK in all his might....

and THOMAS...in his white and gold armour, defending the elves. And of the change he goes through.....imagine the Lord of the Eagle Reaches fighting the other Valheru.....

    God that would be HEAVEN
