Alien Vs Predator Movie...

I was told by a mate who's been interested in it for ages that "Bishop" is actually the guy who created the androids... So he's the actual human Bishop.

Not sure if it's right or not tho...??

I dont know about the guy in AvP but the bishop you see in the Alien 3 right at the end is human, and yes he is the one that created the androids.

There's alot of hype about this film in the states right now - I watched a show while I was over there showing some of the making of it and the outline of the story.

From what I gathered from it (bearing in mind that Ive never seen Predator) is that the Predators come to earth to fight the greatest warriors there are, being the Aliens, in order to be initiated. They set it on earth and in present time as the original Alien film is set 2000 years in the future (iirc) but Predator was set at present time( ?) and Bishop is pretty much the only character they could use from the original films as he was an Android and yes this is the 'real life' Bishop. They are using the same colourscheme Aliens from the first film, Alien, ie. black and shiny.
The Humans all get caught up in it all because of this Pyramid thing, which is where the Aliens and Predators do battle. Well us humans, being inquisitive as we are go to have a nosey - see what it is, do a bit of exploring in the Antarctic and get caught in the middle of it all.

This is what I picked up, sorry if its of no use and completely vague - but as I said Ive not seen Predator so I completely understood all the stuff about Alien/s but not any of the Predator malarky!

Oh dear none of the reviews I've read on IMDB are very complementary, one even mentions the audience booing when P.Andersons name comes up on the credits at the end.

I'll make up my own mind but I'm prepared for the worst.

This is one of the worst films I have watched this year......unless you are a diehard Aliens or Predator fan, then this film is going to disappoint you big time!!

All reviews for this film have panned it, even worse than the ones I've read about Catwoman.....that says a lot!

This movie looks awful. It was always going to be awful. Once something becomes a Franchise.....it spawns merchandise.... and becomes aimed at children.....and...sucks

And considering that joke of a director Mr. Anderson was involved. Well.... just look what he did:


1993 - Shopping

1995 - Mortal Kombat

1997 - Event horizon (omg this is quite a good film!)

1998 - Soldier (whoops threw it all away)

2000 - The Sight (no, i never heard of it either)

2002 - The Glow (Had a look - this sells for $5....)

2002 - Resident Evil - (christmas turkey served early)

2004 - Aliens vs Predator

nah the place that gets taken over in aliens is a colony of terraformers sponsered/payed for in some way by weyland corp, mr weyland is the human that bishop is based around, what i wanna know is how is he human in this film set in the present day and human in alien 3...........

Yup, so unless he's lying which isn't implied in alien 3 at all as he's shown as the real deal then there's been a major slip-up somewhere down the line

Or unless he is the real human in the AVP film & at the end of the film, he finds a way to become immortal and continues to live on up to the events of Alien 3!

That would explain how he managed to build such a huge corporate empire and build all those bishop androids based on him self.

After all, in the up coming AVP film, he is supposed to be dying from cancer.
That sounds more logical.

I never remember him dying from cancer when i saw it, there is mention of his pioneering work with robotics in the film though which incinuates his already started work on the androids in 2004, so either he becomes immortal, is lying in alien 3 or spends huge periods of time in a stasis tube similar to the one ripley ends up in at the end of alien.

He is lying in Alien 3, I thought that was well known and obvious. The company is trying to dupe Ripley into giving them the alien queen.

I've seen all the films by this director except 'The Glow' and TBH he's gone downhill since $hopping...
