noise cancelling headphones

Well, went into the BOSE shop yesterday whilst waiting for the wife to buy something from White Stuff and tried out a pair of their noise cancelling headphones, wow. Was throroughly impressed, but not £275 impressed, even if you did get a free CD player (now had it been an ipod....)

Have done a little poking around, creative also do some, around £40 and so do altec lansing (same price) and sennheiser (around £90)

Are the altec lansing ones any good does anyone know? been trawling google, and aren't many reviews of them

To be honest, theyre all pretty overrated, youll get far more effective cancellation from a set of 50 quid e2cs. Active ones dont cancel too much highfrequency imo.

Yep, the E2c's are the way to go, or even the E3c's if you want to go a bit more expensive (think they are about £130 these days). And, if you're feeling flush there's even the e4c's - something for everyone!

I've never found a pair of 'in-ear' headphones I can listen to without them either becoming uncomfortable after 15 mins, or falling out so i won't risk that amount of money on those unless I can find somewhere with money back guarantee.

e2c's....... foam sleeves should eliminate that problem.

and if not they have their own money back guarantee, its called ebay.
