Need to send NTL tv to another room..wirelessly?

    Hi folks,

i was wondering if someone in the know, could tell me if this is possible. heres the story..

NTL digital cable tellybox, Samsung variety. this is downstairs and i would like to send the signal to an upstairs TV. the box is no longer used for tv downstairs, but i have a package deal now with NTL so it seems a shame to waste the tv package.

can this be done wirelessly? ideally keeping the NTL remote to change channels etc.

im looking for the cheapest method possible, without wires

    thanks

I use a Medion video sender (cost £20 in Toys'R'us) to send from lounge to bedroom but I have a Pace box & I use a learning remote to control it.

    thanks mate,

do you know off hand what kind of signal this outputs, composite, svideo etc?

and also do you know if these will interfere with a wireless router?

    I'll check re. the signal.

Think that it's more likely that the router will interfere with the sender (or rather that the interference will be more noticeable on tthe tv) but mine has tthe choice of 4 channels so hopefully you can find 1 that minimises it.

well theyre cheap enough, so ill find somewhere with them in stock and give them a go. i can always bung them on ebay if they wont work with the NTL box.

Also use one of the Medion senders.

Seems to work fine, minimal interferance from WAG54G V2.

Never got the remote control stuff to work for changing channels tho

Microwave does make it go screwy tho' LOL
