Well, just got back from Majorca, and have been looking through the photos taken while I was away with family - most of my pictures will stay hidden forever, however I actually found my dear mum has learnt how to use the camera , so here are some of the finer shots.

I like #3, it's a bit over exposed I think but it does give that relentless-sun-blazing-down feeling to the pic.

I'm really just a newbie myself so glad to see yet another new poster in the creative forum

The third photo is definatly the pick of the bunch. Slightly washed out though, had a quick go in photoshop and came out with this.

I think that's actually too much processing.. Fade that process out to 50-60% and it'd be much better.

BTW, it's quite rude to photoshop someone's pictures without asking - just remember that next time please

No levels done, the histogram was fine. Slight increase in Saturation and contrast, then replaced some of the oranges with a slightly richer tone. Then just some USM.

I've never seen it as being rude to PS someones pic. He asked for comments so essentially I was pointing out it could be improved with better processing. if anything I would say its more helpful than just saying "Nice photo but could use some PS" as it demonstrates the usefulness of correctly processing your images. It would be nice if we come to a consensus on how well mannered it is. On OCUK no one seems to care but on POTN they have an option to tick if you don't mind your photos being processed.

Agreed number 3 is the best from this set. Nicely composed, however like a few have said its a tad overexposed but as seen, photoshop can fix that for you.
