xfire isn't dead, but it certainly is a lot more bloated than it used to be

My xfire username is apatel14, but I do agree that raptr is also pretty useful, although I no longer use either very often.

    Re: Post your X-Fire name

mupet0000 is my username, I use it to track my gaming hours. I know steam does that but it hasn't got all the hours that xfire already has. And now that I can take screenshots with steam, if I could transfer those hours and just use steam I would.

    Re: Post your X-Fire name

I'm Jeeva on both Xfire and Raptr - both rather handy, but to be honest I don't have either client installed at the moment, as I just use Steam and Steam Communities far more often. =\

Is it still worth having yet another third party chat client running?

If you wondering what Xfire actually is, then its an MSN like instant messaging tool that is specifically designed and aimed at gamers because of its ability to track the games you play, join friends servers, and best of all you can chat in game without minimising the games window (good for the poorer of us without 2 monitors).
You can also download files, record your favourite servers, join recent servers, basically everything you could possibly need/think of!

head over to X-FIRE to take a look

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, Dont forget to check out and apply to the Hexus X-fire Group/Clan:

    http://www.xfire.com/clans/hexus/

If you sign up to that you don't have to add everyone, they will show up in X-fire under the hexus group instead for you

Then you can just right click them from the hexus group and add to buddy list if you feel the need

Anyway to get the ball rolling I'm:

    Tigerboyce

    (mabye kinda obvious..)
GameManK - tehfury87 is my xfire name............!

    Re: Post your X-Fire name

i dont, no point anymore most games are in steam or origin and they have their own chat interfaces. Neither are as good as xfire once was so its a shame really.

I'm surprised x-fire is still alive. Most of my pc friends now play on steam.

Difference is you don't "play" on X-Fire.

You just use it to keep in touch / communicate with people you meet in games.
