Probably about 18 hours (excluding essentials) in Oblivion if I'm honest.

i did 20 hours once, i think if i did more i would have died very much like a lot of my fellow asians
i was playing ragnarok and making use of the x3 experience gain
it was just non stop coca cola and donuts
Umm, WoW marathon sessions anyone?
A dungeon, a bit of questing and a raid, and that's 8 hours gone straight away

had a 11/12 hour Warcraft 3 game with housesmates on lan.. one of those let's try out a lan game quickly, then daylight went and returned before it finished.
At a LAN, it makes things worse when you're facing off against eachother.
After several hours, paranoia of the others messing with your game if you were to go away for a while gets to you
I played planetside from about 8am to 5am or 6am the next morning (21-22hours) with a few breaks to get food etc, so I could get a big daily killcount and my name top of the leaderboard for the day. It wasn't my best daily killwhoring in fact tho. I got 691 kills on another session of about 17-18 hours.
I think I might have played other games longer in the past, like quake 2 or maybe oblivion or eve online, but I couldn't say exactly how long. When I was supposed to be a student I remember playing quake 2 quite often all day and evening and then until daylight the next day or maybe into the next afternoon a few times. Needless to say I flunked uni. I know better now, well mostly lol.

Around 36 hours at i10 in 2002 I think it was. Mostly CS.
Living and dying laughing and crying
Once you have seen it you will never be the same
Life in the fast lane is just how it seems
Hard and it is heavy dirty and mean
I think around 15 or so hours on rome total war on a few occasions and the obligatory all nighter and all dayer on champ man, however when playing games for that long, all perception of real time seems to disappear and time is measured in when the next match is or 'I'll just do this next turn' etc etc
its reasons like this why I love uni
I've done 20hrs in Medieval: Total War before. After that probs 15 hrs in Oblivion (360)
Absolutely knackered afterwards, i genuinely didn't realise how long i'd been sat there for!
done a 36 hour pokemon Diamond stint, actually finished (as in beat the final 4 and all that) in one go from start too
Failing that a 6 hour single game of supreme commander, followed by 3 rematches :O
Wow!
I remember I used to stay on for ages on systems like the Megadrive but they were around 8-10 hours possibly more. Nothing like the 15+ hours
so Ive been doing well and in the safe zone by miles.
There's been nights when I'm knackered but when I start playing a game Im awake again! Is there something wrong with me?

Well, when I raid in WoW it's for 5-7 hours straight, and that's 2-3 times a week
My longest single stint was probably when the expansion was released, can't remember exactly, but must have been at least 20 hours.
As for a single 'match', that would be playing Unreal co-op online for ~6-8 hours.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.
wow stints of about 25 hours, other mmo's of similar time...
as for a single game, porbably legend of zelda, 12 hours in a row was pretty common.
cant do this anymore though
