I used to have monster UT99 sessions with a USA based clan, so it was from 4pm all night through to about 6-7am when it was like 8-9pm for them!

I feel for you doug. Im currently in the same boat, Gf wants to come round ev day and night which means i cant do my all night css sessions or poker sessions. She knows i play games occasionaly but is yet to discover i make a fair bit of money palying poker when her backs turned

When I first got BF2 I remeber a really long stint: I started playing on Fri night probably about 10pm and finished playing on Sunday night just after midnight. Only breaks I took was to the toilet and to reply to my girlfriends constant moaning, I mean cant a guy play a game without the missus having a go jeeez. I did consume a load of coffee and wacky backy and funny enuf I didnt feel that tired when I went to bed but at times I did think i wud pass out but I got over that

Now that is a long gaming session lol.

Wow you guys play a lot longer than I would have,

longest I think for me on a single game (map etc) would possibly be Command and Conquer Red Alert 1! - around 12 hours
I can watch my computer screen for a lot longer at once, watching films, playing games and a mixture of other things

Finished playing through Half life 2 -> Episode 2 in one single sitting about 3 hours ago. Something i have wanted to do for a while and really enjoyed it apart from bad timing... Had to do it this day because its the last weekend of reading week, but i was up on CS:S yesterday till 8am so had no sleep that night either!

Started at midnight this morning and finished at 5pm. That's around 16hours as i only got up to use the loo. didn't sleep and didn't eat at all really, had a few chocolate bars, I was DAMN hungry after so i just made 4 victory Burgers

My longest sitting would be playing RAC Rally on PC, 8 hours straight, made a damm lot of progress but still don't complete the game! I did spends hours and hours playing guild wars, but havent yet done overnight games. Now I seem to be spening 4+ hours on Call of Duty 4 on week days!

Back in the late 90's, i spent a weekend at my mates who got a new PC (i didn't have one at that time, or a console).
Warcraft 2.
24 1/2 hours, only coffee breaks (to make mind you, since you drink as you play) and toilet breaks interupted. I seem to remember eating lots of pringles too.
My wrist, fingers, eyes and neck hurt afterwards.
It was worth it.

It must surely be football manager 07. Such a sweet game you can't turn it off. Probably about 14hrs straight, but in a week it takes up more of my time than breathing.

Football manager (original ZX spectrum version by Addictive Games) spent many hours on this at most a 8 hour stint.

Played a mod called CTI for Operation Flashpoint 13hrs on FPS/RTS style i spent the whole match sniping the enemy players. Really good game.

What was the longest one you've been in? As in a single match/game of something and breaks lasting no longer than 1hr.

Mine would be at a LAN a few years back. Empire Earth 6-way FFA, full epoch range (prehistoric >> nano), some ridiculously large+symmetrical 'moneymap' one of the others prepared with water/rivers/sea and the win condition of last man standing. We also made an agreement that full out hostilities would be banned until we got to the Renaissance epoch, although I remember pushing for allowing small scouting parties

Anyway, long story short, I lasted about ~22hrs when I nuked by subs and bombers on all fronts about 30secs after teching to digital, followed swiftly by a bunch of tanks and mechs
3rd place 'prize' was a good snooze, lol.

Took 22 hours to level up?

And for me I'm not sure. Regularly go to LANs which last about 30 hours or so but get some sleep in the middle.

Think longest is probably 15 or 16 hours on all kinds of games when I get into them. I remember completing super metroid in one day

6 days.. Lineage 2.. First ever go with some friends. Although some school in between. So then that makes it about 33 hours. Only ever happened once. Bad I know
