I play Spearhead the most and on a good night consider myself a pretty damn good player sometimes even being accused of cheating (Which is dont, i hate the idea of it and all those people that do cheat) then again I have nights where I wouldnt hit the side of the titantic with a tank!
i love fps games bf2 css doom quake unreal hl2 anything i prefer online games as AI tends to suck on singleplayer
i wouldn't say i thrive so much as i hold my own if i could be consistent i would be brilliant but some days i top score every round/map other days i completely SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!
<sheepishly raises hand>
Guilty.
BF2 but more recently PR - completely addicted. Just like Mr Royle above, some days I am the scoring king, others I just can't get into it. I keep going back though.
what Mice and Keyboards do you guys use?

I'm using a Logitech MX518 and some cheapo keyboard, does the job well enough, and only £5 to replace when it gets broken

I have a fair few Sets of hardware that I like to use
Firstly - Cherry Cymotion or logitech G-15 keyboard. Mice - I like to use either of the following depending on usage really but I tend to use either a Microsoft Intellimouse v3, logitech MX1000 mouse or even a dirty old MX700. It's dependant on which PC I'm on as to whats being used.
Gamewise - where do you want me to start.
FPS Games I have installed at the moment ...
System Shock 2
Quake 2 & Quake 3
Counter-Strike
HL2 + all the usual addons
Klingon Honour guard
UT
UT2003
Red Faction
and a few others I cannot recall.
As you can see... my PC is a FPS fest and my xbox is more a sports/driving console but a few FPS games on the 360 have been very good recently.
WW2 stuff mainly - COD and MOH. HL2 & Counterstrike, Quake 4. Don't tend to play online much, although I used to do a lot of Counterstrike when the Source version first came out.
Keyboard is a MS Media one, the £20 job. Mouse is a MS Habu.
Cheers,
Stephen

I find that optical mice need a suitable mouse mat though. Cloth ones seem a bit slow, and some of the shinier ones seem to skip. So I have a plastic surface one, but not really shiny. It has a kind of a grain in it.
I use a Saitek Eclipse II keyboard and a Logitech G3 mouse. I had an original Microsoft Intellimouse Optical for years then, when that broke, I went through loads of gamer-orientaed mice that failed to live up to the Intellimouse's minimilist perfection. I was all set to just get another intellimouse, when I found the G3 It's very similar in form, but with all the modern bells and whistles, I love it.
I L O V E fps but im am literally atrocious at console shooters
I play quite a few FPS on pc, but I used to be pretty good at Timesplitters 2 on the gamecube a couple of years ago. Went back to it recently and I cant hit anything . Another MX518 here and an MS comfort curve 2000.
