I thought the demo for COD4 was pretty crappy, it felt linear like all the other COD games. Almost like you were the only one doing anything and your teammates just fire blanks. I have to admit though, i was pleasently surprised with the finished game, it runs beautifully and the gameplay is alot better. I still feel like it could have added a bit more depth into the tactics, ie allowing you (or having someone command you) to stack up at doors.
Multiplayer is good fun, but i think they could have used bigger maps so it's not so manic.
Good fun though. Loved gunning from the airplain with thermals, looked just like those videos you see on the News.
Hexus cod4 server would be cool.
SPOILER ALERT!!!!! Highlight to view... And in future think a little more about what you're typing. Lowe.
does everyone here agree that the SAS missions are a whole lot more fun to play than those gun-hoe USMC ones (alright.. barring the aircraft bit where u just point and click)..
I felt more attached to all the SAS members than say, Lt. Vasquez and all.. It really felt kind of sad when I saw the ending and soap was the only survivor..
The sniper mission was the pinnacle of great Cod4 gameplay I think.. For once, not-slimey-posh-accent-speaking english, sniping down a target and fleeing. Teeth gritting run and hide.. My hands were shivering wet when I was playing on hard during that mission.
Good on you Infinity Ward, something that'll make british players proud..

Me want Ultrabook
Me neither went back on Recruit a few times to try and get it, don't think it's possible.
The SAS missions were fantastic I thought, hope there's an expansion focusing on that kind of thing. Pripryat was awesome, really atmospheric and engrossing. On the harder levels getting a hit with the .50 cal sniper feel's like a real achievement. I did like griggs though he was amusing, the game really seemed to give the SAS guys a lot background and personality.
"You could try pulling it, if it would make you feel better, sir."

... I only wish people would mark their posts when they contain spoilers...
What we share with everyone is glum, and dark...
They certainly know how to glue you to the screen... I played the training mission for a good 30minutes or so. Why you may ask... well:
I was determined to beat IW score!
edit: Hah, I died and one of those random quote things:
"Aim towards the enemy." - Written on US anti-tank rocket.

This is getting really good reviews. Not by everyone obviously, but by most.
Im taking I need a beast of a pc. Should be upgrading next month. I read review on gamespot, screens look good!
It's quite well optimised. It seems to run well with brute force though, as long as you've got alot of ram and power, it's good. It doesn't demand certain things from your system.
EDIT:
Check out that guys other reviews. He's obviously a douche. He's not only a playstation gamer, but he thinks Shadow of Collossus was the best game in 2005.
Sure some people won't like it, but 0.0 score? Some reviewer's, just like to see their name on a board (they may not even have played the game), and the best way to get attention is to rubbish a game that the majority of gamers that play FPS games really like.
Still, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
I've been playing on the hardest difficulty, some of the death quotes are quite funny(been seeing quite a few ).
"Cluster bombing from a B-52 is extremely accurate, the bombs are guaranteed to hit the ground."
"Ejecting over the area you just bombed is generally inadvisable" - USAF Manual.
