Same goes for me. I have the first UT game and its fun for a little while but boredom starts setting in. I prefer the FPS games that are story driven like SOF2, HL and Unreal 2.
Only ones I play online are SOF 2 and AvP2, thats only occasionally though. Not big on the online gaming at all.
Drive, flick out the blades and drive by that competitor on the other team.. bye bye Mr headOriginally Posted by spazman
Onslaught is so addictive, I can see that becoming a really popular online gametype

Or you could just click on the BlueYonder link, and download it in a few minutes... but I suppose that doesn't make much of a comic.
i got it off the jolt UK only server.

It was hard to find a server that didn't want a password, eventually found one, ping of 91.
Haven't tried Onslaught yet, only Deathmatch.
I shall probably buy it, and try and get hold of the DVD special edition. All in all, I think I'm going to enjoy this

I've been playing it more now, seems DSL/Cable hosting is out the window now as each player can drag upto 70/70kbps 1on1 is about all you can get away with
The little buggy is good although I keep snapping the blades off

i think its really good, a mix of the orig UT with the halo'ish' vehicles. some of the maps are huge (think the onslaught one) i think the gfx in the demo look very similer to UT2003 but in the readme it dus say that they will be up to 2x higher res in the final version. nice. been playing over LAN with a mate. great fun. all in all its btr than i thought it wud be.

got a really wierd one.... Any one else get it?
Normally use the wasd config for movement, but it keeps doing bl**dy team chat mind frag. So then I changed team chat and general chat to the oposite end of the keyboard for both primary and secondary keys. Still does it!
Maybe im missing something like the latest drivers etc but compared with ut2003 it looks terrible could just be the demo
i like it and all but i think the graphics are tad disappointing, something just not right about them not chunky enough, doesnt look real enough.
"The less you eat, drink and buy books; the less you go to the theatre, the dance hall, the public house; the less you think, love, theorise, sing, paint, fence, etc., the more you save – the greater becomes your treasure which neither moths nor rust will devour – your capital. The less you are, the less you express your own life, the more you have, the greater is your alienated life, the greater is the store of your estranged being." Karl Marx
I would imagine for the demo.. they only used the low res textures like they did with the 2K3 demo
