Alpha Centauri
I'd love to see X Wing/Tie Fighter remade. There's a complete lack of decent arcadey combat flight sims on the market (possibly due to the silly cost of joysticks these days)
I'd also say definately Syndicate, either like the original (RTS with a full 3D world) OR as a Mass Effect style RPG.

This is bunny and friends. He is fed up waiting for everyone to help him out, and decided to help himself instead!
HEXUS FOLDING TEAM It's EASY
I quite liked freelancer but imo I thought starlancer was better. Granted it didn't have the sandbox element to it but the dog fighting and the massive capital ships all over the place made it a much better experience for me.
Id really like to see battlezone 3
HEXUS FOLDING TEAM It's EASY
oh - how could i forget:
speedball!!!
(or was there a clone released recently?)
The Karl Pilkington of Hexus
Armour-Geddon or similar - an FPS with assorted vehicles but also with the ability to collect resources etc off the battlefield to build more vehicles. Like combining an RTS with an FPS

Looking through my current game collection, I have a few experiences I'd like to revisit. Namely:
Age of Empires 4. So Microsoft buy and kill Ensemble Studios then hire those devs to make AoE Online, not the move I would have preferred. I've always thought of Civilisation as a good counterpart to AoE, and with Civ 5's recent overhaul, I can only imagine what Ensemble could have done given the same mandate.
Dungeon Keeper 3 might get replaced with Dungeons HQ. Not a huge amount of info out there yet but I expect it'll get a push soon. Whether it's able to maintain the humour and feel of DK2, well I'll find out nearer January.
Elite 4 (25th anniversary of Elite last year). I don't know if Braben and co will ever get it made/finished. I've tried a few from the X series without success andTerran Conflict hasn't managed to win me over yet. I've always assumed Eve was PvP by default and that puts me off.
FreeSpace or Freelancer (or both!) would be quite acceptable so long as mod support is catered for.
Homeworld (Continue from Cataclysm and I'll forget 2 ever existed, at least controls wise - they fixed something which wasn't broken). I've either read it or heard it on a podcast but despite Relic receiving requests for a sequel, it's still nowhere on the horizon. Sins of a Solar Empire did a good job in emulating some of the features, however I did miss not having a campaign to keep me entertained between skirmishes.
Warcraft, the RTS variant. Don't think I can wait that long to be honest. With at least 18 more months until Heart Of The Swarm comes out, Diablo III, Cataclysm and some other MMO on the go, another RTS is probably asking too much. I won't be holding my breath, we'll all have holodecks by then I'm sure.
SSX 3 as a HD release please. Stick it on Steam whilst you're at it. Maybe update the engine too if you've got the budget but leave the core mechanics alone.
Beneath a Steel Sky. Fine, so it's not a series but I wish it was, the game deserves more than a Remastered edition.
Red Alert and Command & Conquer. Their last outings robbed my enthusiasm for either series. End of Nations (Trion Worlds, former Westwood devs) could fill a whole until a new team is let loose on RA and CnC, Generals too I suppose, although the site gives little away regarding the game's depth.
Cannon Fodder. War has never been so much fun! Seems the last attempt to revive that was cancelled in 2006. Bring it back, a downloadable version on for consoles and Steam Play as there must be someone other than me wanting to play it.
Syndicate. 1993's other hit is supposedly being updated in the form of Project Redlime. Hardly any news about it so far this year.
Bound to be lots I'm forgetting, that'll do for now though

So the Steam sale (X Superbox) is a last cash grab. That's a shame, it's a frightening thought that the entire genre is practically extinct and sorely needs a new blood.
Great thread to get nostalgic about old fave games!
Gabriel Knight - I know the genre is pretty dead and buried, but I loved the first one, not for the mechanics, but for the mature storyline about voodoo etc.
X-Wing/Tie-Fighter - Again, wasted lots of time on this, and surprised that this hasnt been re-expoited to the full by someone.
Contra - Yeah, I know, its not that hallowed, but for 2 player gaming together - love it. Perfect XBLA type material
Midnight Resistance - Not a series, but in the same vein as above, this would be tailor made for XBLA or the like. And despite being old, it had dual analogue controls back then in the arcades (albeit with one stick which you could rotate the top of) so would be perfect for todays controllers
I'm going to stop short of recommending the Dizzy series....
Oh, I forgot to add Space Hulk to my list as well..
