Dead game series you'd like to see again...

Sometimes great games never get funding for new releases and so the series disappears into nothing more than fond memories.

So, what dead game series would you like to see make a comeback?

Here are mine:

Ecco the Dolphin

I'd like to see a sequel to the Tides of Time. There was always an intent to do this, as completing the second game on hard gave you a special code that would influence the storyline of the third instalment.

That said, I never had the patience to play the game on the console - although I have completed it with save-states on an emulator.

Freespace

Freespace is to space combat games what Half-Life is to the FPS genre. THQ/Volition need to pry the license of the cold dead hands of Interplay and get on it.

Half-Life

It'd be great to see Episode 3.

Battlefield 3 is in development. Should hopefully be pretty good.

Brilliant Thread! I normally just browse at the moment but love threads like this. Your probably gonna notice a slight AMIGA theme

I second (third fourth, fifth by now) the XCOM series, particuarly Enemy Unknown.
Syndicate - I loved this on the CD32
Superfrog - he needs releasing on the iphone!
Formula One GrandPrix series - was once the best racing sim on any platform
Theme Hospital - best PC game ever part from HL - not a series but should of been.
Chaos Engine - Enough said!
Roland series (such as on the ropes) often wonder why never got the 32-bit or even 16-bit treatment
System Shock - Bioshock was great and everything but... it wasn't System Shock.
