It has LOADS of bugs in it, i've already reported about 5. Still well worth it, interesting to see what will be done to it. The physics engine is well cool, the fact you can interact with the environment as well. Loads of new cool stuff.

i think i'm just using a normal half life key.. and not condition zero or the free ATI one..

so i guess that means i just have to wait then ?

If you haven't got an ATi HL2 voucher of Condition Zero you can't play it.

Enter your key or something. It just asked me when i installed CZ. Go to the games menu and click on the button saying "enter key for game" or something. When you do that it'll let you do the beta. Remember anything you save to your account stays there

eh? ak is a better gun than colt in 1.6 have they messed that up?

had a quick blast, its quite funky, only getting 30->60fps (1024) rather than the 60fps constant in 1.6 (1600) which is pointing me in the direction of a 9800pro or similar upgrade , physics seem cool, only problem is i was on a server with a ping of 50ish (usually in the low 20s) and there was a noticable delay between shooting a barrel(etc) and it falling over and stuff... off to work for some tesco-lovin' (help me fund the upgrade tbh!) then i'll be playing some more this evening... and yes i realise i seem to have used a heck of a lot of brackets in this post!

Tom you cant really compare this to 1.6

CS 1.6 was really really rubbish in comparison to 1.5 and previous versions. You only have to look at the number of 1.5 servers still running to see this. CS:CZ was also crap being 1.6 in a box...

so compare it to 1.5 instead, that was the last real version of CS before this

The AK does seem less accurate in CS Source tho..but its something to do with the new way the aiming recticle works in source i think, its changed apparently [from reading steam forums].

It is buggy too - ive reported loads of bugs so far - some of the most annoying being that 1600x1200 doesnt work properly and the many graphical glitches in the models ;/ Also the AK model is way way too small compared to the colt or infact any other weapon. Its completely out of preportion

Do you have to have CS:CZ installed for this to work? I ordered CS:CZ through steam just so I could get on this and I simply downloaded it in the games menu, it runs, but I cant host/load any maps. "couldnt CRC map de_dust.bsp"

Korky CS:CZ IS 1.6 with bots and the odd tweak...thats all it is...

any die hard CS fan will tell you that 1.6 is not CS, nor is CZ...play them all and you will see

1.6 or CZ is not cs. They changed the feel of the game completey from 1.5 which i thought felt much better. Steam didn't do anything to help its case either and now the WON servers are down so i can't even play 1.5 anymore. Unless anyone knows a way around this?

shogun just use All Seeing Eye [google it if you dont have it] to find servers, there are thousands still about
