Is it unlocked at midnight tonight? Or midnight Pacific time, which is 8am here?
Yes, This will be a great game!
Perhaps... But most likely it will be another Doom 3
I loved Deus Ex 2, so my opinion don't count!

So, its 8am Tuesday morning, yes?
I'm confuzzeld.
(And WildMonkey is going to get up, have a ciggy and a cuppa and then find he can't play it yet...)
heh... good job I've checked the thread then ain't it
GRRRRRR why can't we have it @ our 12 am ... I mean everyone bases their time on the difference from GMT and therefore as far as I'm concerned we are the centre of the world for a change instead of the USA
Ahh well I'll just have to play it tomorrow instead ....
Hang on....I wonder if the adjusting windows timezone clock will sort this issue out ?
I'll let you know @ 8 pm lol
lol - I wish!
it's a pity they didn't consider that - and release midnight pst - which would mean 4pm today for us!
Nope. It's based on when they switch the authentication on on the servers. One big red switch marked 'GO!'.
just hope they don't hit the wrong Big Red Button - the one that triggers the halon in the server room.
I hope you're referring to the phone call made to gabe, if you haven't heard it go and find it on the steam forums.
A fan phoned up gabe and was like "go on gabe, press the big red button, go on!"
Yeah, Windows tomfoolery won't do nowt, until Peter from Family Guy or one of his under-minions presses the button marked 'Let the 2 million odd people waiting for the game start murdering the server' you can't do nothing.
i just have scary memories of someone going for the emergency door release in my company's old CAR (Central Apparatus Room) and accidentally hitting the halon release button (on the other side of the door frame)! unbeliveably, the flipped up the safety panel and hit the button - took us off air for about half an hour and we had to pay a £15000 bill to get the system recharged!
so gabe - please don't hit the WRONG big red button
Im going to get the HL2 soundtrack i think, listen to this sample track:
