Recommend me an RTS

I've got a high spec laptop (which i've never used rofl)

Would still go for RA2, easy to pick up and play 4 hours and can drain a system too once u start building units at a large scale.

lol, well my flat mate has been borrowing it for the past month, should go and check it's in one piece, it's an expensive laptop lol. RA2, i loved C&C altogether, gonna go check prices now

Total Anniliation - classic but goody and lots of new maps/units to download.

The best RTSs out at the moment in my opinion.

Warcraft 3 or Medieval total war.
I have Rome but at the moment i still think Medieval is a better game

In that case then go for Warcraft 3 and the expansion pack. It has way more depth than the Command & Conquer games and has a far better storyline as well. great fun

Yeh, my laptop is a widescreen one with a 9700 mobility, 512MB of RAM and a 1.7GHz P4 Centrino so apparently it can run far cry at decent frame rates. Does warcraft3 support widescreen aspect ratios?

dunno.

i never liked wc3 as much as the rest of the series. it always seemed that whoever had the better heros won 90% of the time. the units dont matter so much.

Is everyone forgetting LOTR: Battle for middle earth which will be out on friday This by far will be the best RTS ever made. It uses the C+C General Engine and its based on LOTR with that winning combo how can it not be the best game ever

Acording to reviews, its decent, certainly not the best RTS ever made, in fact, with Dawn of War and Rome: Total War, its not even in the top 2 made this year. Seems to be a bit of a laugh to play, but its nothing world beating.
