Aaron has a point - when I had my GameCube I was getting sick and tired of the massive delys between releases of AAA titles, like Metroid Prime, in the US and UK. Something Nintendo need to address.
Hex is right about that example, but Doshin the Giant was a bit poo and Animal Crossing was genius... cheers Nintendo. Maybe Doshin sold poorly because it was poor and not because we don't 'get' Jap weirdness?

but yes i agree, the whole ps range was aimed at none tech types who want to have the latest and coolest console on the market, so what the games are like and the quality of the actualy console.
i am a great lover of sega and nintendo, and nothing made me sadder then when sega pulled out of the console market after the DC.
i love my SP tho, and ill deffo be buying a DS when they come out

Now dont get me wrong, i love nintendo, i have a cube and an advance, and like the SP, but the DS=utter sh#te. Its unpowered,overated, and ugly.
Where as the psp has amazing games like thps and nfsu2 with great gameplay that looks smoother.and whats this about chavs buying a psp over a ds...?the psp is so nice, what can't you like about it? Compact design with sweet buttons.whereas the ds looks rank.how can u favor such an underpowered and ugly machine to the psp and say the psp is ugly and chav favored. lol chavs wont be able to afford it anyway; there money after all just goes on fags.

yes thats the problem with portable colour machines like phones etc, battery life sucks but still very worth purchase...

imho tho their controllers are horrid! cube controller has gotta be the nicest controller ever. my ps2's is 2nd best. but xbox is ruff.lucky u can get an xbox-ps2/cube adaptor for controllers

You see, in a way, this is where the whole chav thing comes in... you seem to be style over substance. Its not a case of 'power' or even looking 'sweet' its more about actually having good games, the sort of games you want to play.
If the PSP has the games you want to play, fair enough, but the typical uneducated chav will like it because 'its sweet and the nintendo is kiddie and underpowered innt?!!?1' so don't associate yourself with them by parroting their typical views.
Anyway, a few questions:

Mate; you are missing the point. Its so simple - it is not about which has 'sweet buttons' nor which 'looks rank', unless you are the sort of chav who buys a games console because of how it looks or how 'trendy' it is percived to be. Real games have always bought the ninty/sega consoles over the sony ones; they are marketed towards the chav mentality, and in my view thats where they should stay. the PSX was ugly, the PS2 was ugly, the new ps2 is ugly, and the PSP is ugly
If i could justify the purchase I would get a DS now, better games [think goldeneye on the move], better company (imho, never liked sony as you can probly guess) and a better system thats focused on gaming, rather than on diverging to useless stuff that I can do on my ipaq...
the psx was nice!slim compact simple
and sega consoles did have good games like sonic adventure etc, but overall they didnt last long and most people would aggree that sony have way better games, like final fantasy series,metal gear solid 1 & 2
so how can that target chav market?
such a bad opinion... what good games with a decent story was their on sega, apart from ones based on cartoons etc.

No it doesn't lol, I still have a gamegear, that ran for about 1-2 hours maximum, and ate a LOT of AA's in the process.
The PSP has a maximum of around 5 hours, which quite frankly is more than enough for most mobile gaming sessions.
If you remember they did change the design to allow for changing the battery, so I'd guess that it wouldn't be that long before extended capacity batteries were available if it really was an issue.

As for games, you get the same old EA crap on *all* the consoles not just the Sony ones, there are good games out there if you can be bothered to look for them.
I can't see how the argument against the PSP is any different to the arguement against the DS, I very much doubt anyone here has played on them to fully comment on either.
It seems to me the argument against the PSP is mainly just because it's going to be popular? Yeah, fantastic argument there guys
I'm getting a PSP because I don't particularly like Nintendo's consoles (Yes I have owned a couple before you moan at me), and I want it for some of the other features.
Shouting "Chav" at something just to belittle it just sounds, well, chav-like to me.
