Not long to go then. My cash is waiting...
Twisted Metal on PSP looks like a perfect game for the handheld
I havent played it properly in some 7 years but i did spend many a happy hour on Twisted Metal 2 on PS1, really great fun. The thing that made it so great was the co-op mode. I think the PSP version will be a winner with the wi-fi capabilities
Here's the CES trailer for most of the US launch titles:

Oh and while im at it, there's a 24 minute long press conference which was from CES:
Note:The above link need to be opened in windows media player using the open url function.

Nice links lads. Keep 'em coming.
The more I see of the PSP, the more I like it.
In that case spend a couple of hours here:

Hehe, indeed, I am an IGN Indsider, have been nosing around. As I said, the more I see, the more I like.
Bit dissapointed to see that Metal Gear Acid isn't likely to be in the first or second batch of US \ UK PSP releases though. Was hoping that would be the AAA system seller.
ah man, i was going to say: "why get a psp sony piece of crap"
but then i watched the trailers
and now i want one
I want to get one and I am not a gamer - I was about to start a thread just like this
at $199 seems cheap to me
$200 certainly is a steal , i'd be most pleased if i could pay just $200, as my initial thoughts after the PSP announcement were a price of ~£300.
We've been told it will almost deffinatly start off at £149.99 with a "selected" game...
As the comments above, the more I see it, the more I like it, however the Battery life will be a big let down.
On the subject of handhelds I played with a Nintendo DS for a couple of hours the other day - Not bad. The graphics are smooth, the gameplay is innovative, and I could certainly see myself enjoying some quality gameplay on it, although the touch sensitive screen will take some getting used to.
On the flip-side, its much larger than I first realised, even bigger than the original GB Advance which is a shame. Also, the screens, imho are a bit too small. When compared alongside the cinematic proportions of the PSP both screens look positively tiny....
Ah well, we shall see, Im sure Nintendo will pull it off as Innovation wins for them every time. The PSP however is looking to be a deffinate winner, dispate the doubts of its battery life (Spare battery - £9.99 )

apparently the battery life isn't causing too many problems anyway

If I had to charge my PSP up every 5 hours it would cause problems for me as I would never remember to do it... Or never want to carry a charger around with me....

Sony planned from a very early point that the PSP will have quick & easy battery replacement, thats why it has a simple battery door and they sell spare batts. I hear the PSP also loads the RAM when changing batteries so you can simply put it into stand-by in a game, change batts, then boot back up quickly right back into the game where you left offOriginally Posted by Bunjiweb
Not perfect by any means, but easily the best way to do things. I'll certainly be investing in an extra batt.
