      • Asus P5B Deluxe - WiFi
      • CPU:
      • Q6600 @ 3.06Ghz
      • Memory:
      • 2GB Crucial
      • Storage:
      • 500GB Samsung SpinPoint
      • Graphics card(s):
      • Geforce 9600GT
      • PSU:
      • Cosair HX520W
      • Case:
      • LianLi something something or other

    Whats the matter with it? It may be a bit slow compared to whats currently on offer but it falls within the minimum system specs required for a 6600GT. So what does it matter? Ill be upgradeing in april anyway.

    that's kind of odd. be interesting to turn on performance monitors and see what they're logging at the time of the crash.

    considering i played far cry on my old pIII 1ghz on windows xp sp2 rc1 with an olf geforce 2 quite cheerfully (about 2 months before I upgraded) i think there may be something more serious going on with your machine.

    If FarCry is still running under processes, it could be a graphic driver issue, as this happens to me, but with MSN. MSN's main WILL run and be visible, but when i attempt to talk to people, there is nothing. I go to taskmananger and the conversation windows are there, but still "invisible" to me.

    Dont ask why or how, but a driver update/re-install sorts it. I know its already been suggested but i didnt see anything saying you had tried it.
