Xbox is just that same chap.. The big players such as EA etc just want safe money, not risky innovation.

I think it looks ace but I'm not sure I like the PS3's new Pad design. It looks too big (but still nicer than the Xbox 360 one IMO). What I want to know is how are they powered? I suspect the increase in size is to house the batteries, but how heavy will it be? I don't like heavy controlers. Also, will it be rechargable i wonder? I don't see why a rumble motors can't be in there though.
Full spec's here (not that anyone really understand the implications just yet and it not comparable to the 360 processor/grx yet anyway)...

I'll get both, but will go PS3 first as it's backwards compatable. Not sure about controllers, but will be happy as long as they improve the analogue stick - which are poor compared to X-box at present.
Agree as well that the big players have been playing it safe with games, just releasing sequels. Don't mind it when they release an upgraded version to go on a new machine e.g. Tekken Tag for PS2, but annoys me when they make small tweaks to existing games and then release them with loads of hype
If it ain't broke, fetch a bigger hammer
I've got a sneaking suspicion that they will actually better comfort-wise than the PS2 Dual Shock pads..

looks like a quality bit of kit, but its too big.
It's still smaller than an X-Box
