Im playing with 2gig and it plays wonderfully with everything maxed out 1280 x 1024.

Me too, but with only 1 gig, an NF7-s and a 2500+ barton. FPS is roughly 35-40.
I love my 6800GT

nope, corsair/crucial value is very good reliable ram it just doesnt have the low latencies that the posh stuff has, which according to crucial (i think) makes about 5% difference at best. i think in bf2 youd get a larger benefit from 2gig.

i have dat cheap corsair ram dat ur talking about and works fine for me,may get another 1gb for btf2 though

get it from ebuyer, their selling 1gb for £60, get two of them and yur sorted. i alwayz thought that the low latencty were cool but their not that big of a differewntce compared 2 cheap memory. i ahd corsair xms low latency 1gb before and performs the same has my current cheap corsair one...

youll need to get 1000 points then u can unlock the sa80.

My copy showed up the other day and I had some fun (until I patched it up, broke my install ) Im playing with 2Gb of Crucial value in dual channel and it shifts wonderfully with everything maxed out. asus a8n-sli deluxe
1gb of patriot ram
2 x maxtor 10 200gb sata
128mb 6600gt pcie

what sort of settings and detail should i expect @ 1024*768 ? also the frame rate too.

is there a similar thing to the console in cs: source?

Re ram; Still waiting for my BF2 to arrive. At present i have 1GB of RAM. My set up = 2x 256 samsungs & 1x 512 aria value,of which i am very impressed with! So what would be my best combination to get my pc up to 2GB?.. 1x1GB, 2x512 etc or should i remove and then add some sticks!
