cuz - cos, b = be, dem = them, dat = that

its just good manners, this isnt a text message, you dont have to save every character...

but anyway back OT, to answer your original question, yes there are NO-CD patches about but there are 2 problems here.

1) Using it will stop you playing on any servers with punkbuster enabled - as punkbuster checks all file sizes (in the game exe) to make sure its legit, a no-cd exe would be different, you would be auto banned

2)Their use is a 'grey area' so I won't/can't point you in the right direction.

btw - is the 50klicks server ranked?

no were not ranked,costs a fortune for a ranked server from ea.

ive had a go on ranked servers and dont think much of it would rather play with people i know and who i know will back me up in a squad.

the weopons arent better that u get there just an alternative to the ones u already have.

I have some problem playing BF2? Anyone could help?
I use a 17" monitor which can do 1280x1024, but in game, I could force the menu to 1280 but in video setting there're only 800x600 and 1024x768.
I'm using Venice 3000+, 2x1G Corsair CL3-3-3-3-8 and 6600GT 128M

Second problem is I can't sprint in multiplayer! The sprint indicator simply greyed out and I can't sprint at all. It worked fine in singleplayer. But I can see others are sprinting.

Third problem: Guided aiming does not work in multiplayer.

Forth problem: BFHQ stuck at searching server and not responding to any keys. Had to reset.

My BF2 is Asian multi-lang version. Forceware 77.72.

you guys should fight the asian players. They're insane. Seconds before you're killed. They killed me with <5 bullets everytime using those basic machine guns. I proned and they were standing up. I don't know how can they have that kind of accuracy. I always aimed for headshot and I sure they are going to hit, but I always get killed first.

BTW my copy only cost 19 quids...

for a few weeks i have been reading your horrible 'txt' language posts

i dont mind the occasional 'ur' or something (it still makes people look so lame) but im fine with it

but when you just write a post in complete 'txt' or 'fool' language i just have to wonder why you do it?

you dont have a lack of characters.......you are not in a hurry (and if you are you should probably wait until you are not, to write a decent post that people can truely be bothered to read)........so surely you are just doing it to look 'kewl'

rest assured you do not look 'kewl' you just look like some kind of idiotic chav, or something similar

klarrix for a joy you need to clear the key in the config and then move th relavant joy axis.. not very obvious but it works

i'll try and answer your questions in order

firstly, your monitor issue - is it a CRT or TFT? If it is a CFT then why do you want to use such a setting? especially with your graphics card, 800x600 would give you a much smother game without sacrificing much, or 1024x768...if it's a tft (unlucky if it is ) and 1280x1024 is it's native resolution then you can force it by editing the shortcut you use to run the game, look here to find out how: http://www.tweakguides.com/BF2_1.html

Sprinting problem i don't have a clue about sry ;/

Guided aiming (A.K.A auto-aim in most games) is almost never enabled in multiplayer games as it takes away alot of the skill - it is viewed as a cheat by many players.

BFHQ not working is either a problem with your net conneciton, or more than likely one of the many bugs in BF2 ;/

Heh the asian version is identical afaik except ofc you dont get the manual/box unless you pay the seller a fortune (assume u got it from ebay, its flooded with asian games). I would never reccomend buying these, I know they are cheap but you have no comeback if it doesnt work (most sellers only offer refunds for damaged discs; with somewhere like game etc you can at least try it on with them to get a full refund if you dont like the game )But anyway the code is the same so it shouldnt cause any of your problems

A gig of RAM (or more). You WILL see a big difference.

Saw you on the 50K server BTW, and Klarrix (who I killed a few times )
