personally i think it might be quite a good movie, apart from the renegade storyline from the original

I thought the new trailer looked fairly promising, although The Rock comes off kinda naff and wooden. Apart from that I think most Doom fans will be pretty pleased with what was shown especially the FPS sequence which I was quite impressed with and the cgi of the monsters and weapons fire looked decent.

The corridors in the installation looked pretty similar to the ones in the game which was cool but I wish the lighting could be a bit more darker like it is in Doom 3 to reflect more of the nightmarish mood of the game.

having just watched the trailer its definitly a repost, i got linked to this exact same trailer from hexus im sure about 1 month ago

The first bit of the footage is the same as the previous one but the rest of it is all new.

The new trailer restored some of my faith in the film, but with the vast majority of all past video game movies being absolutely terrible, DOOM hasn't got to do a lot to be ranked highly among all video game films.

But, to be ranked highly against "regular" films... hmm, we'll have to wait and see!

Haha I read about a doom movie years ago amongst an article about computer game films, there was going to be a quake film I think too. Arnie was to star IIRC. This is the first I've heard in the last 5 years of a Doom film.

I just had a look at IMDB, Dr. Carmack is a character, where's Professor Romero? and Mr Cloud?
