I've ordered an MX518, which I think is a half-way house between a decent gaming thing and a decent window thing. I'll let you know how I get on with it...

I have a Razer Copperhead, its the best, forget Logitech, lol, its also ambidextrous, so lefties can use it as well on the fly res changing like the logitech, it doesnt have different weights though, but they are bringing out a pro tools pack for it which will allow you to change the weight, i did actually notice better fps scores, but i was pretty crap in the first place, lol, the three snakes on top throb blue which looks pretty ace, lol, accuracy is fantastic as well.

My 2 year old Logitech MX500 decided its left mouse button would no longer respond so had to buy a new one.

Sure as hell wouldn't pay £50+ for a rodent so just got a £20 MS Intellimouse Explorer 4.0.

Feels bloody strange as my right hand has been so used to the MX500.

Will get used to it over time I hope.

One thing I do hate is the scroll wheel. Its so damn responsive than when I move it slightly, my weapons change in CS uber fast, actually zipping past the weapon I want to use.

Suppose its a good time to start using the number keys to switch weapons.

Thats cuz MS mice scrollwheels dont have detents which makes them a bit unsuitable as gaming mice

Ah, so thats what you call it.

Its only a slight annoyance anyway. Will just have to learn to use the number keys.

Mouse is great apart from that.

The best is what works best for you, since everyones hands are different shapes some people are gonna find logi's better, and some razors

To an extent... except that imo the razer is better than the logitech fullstop, the fact you call it a razor indicates to me you have never used one
