Halo and Halo 2 benefit from Xbox 360 hardware

In a news post on their website, Bungie, the developers behind the Halo series have announced that both games are backwards compatible with the Xbox 360 but more than that, gamers will see an improvement in the graphics when runnig either game on the new console.

I remember seeing this on Joystiq, very cool stuff I haven't played Halo 2 so if I were to get a 360 that would be quite teh useful
