I used to programme for hours on the ZX81 - remember the code you used to get in magazines? It would take hours and the final result would be something really crap.

I lost my youth to football manager.

    Commodore 64
Atari 520 STFM I think it was
    Amiga A500
    Amiga 4000/30
Then onto a life of PC's...

And many hours spend typing those magazine programs in, then even more hours trying to find the line with your spelling mistake...

Ah yes, Input magazine - remember that?

You'd spend hours typing something in, but invariably it wouldn't work because of a type or printing error!

It was more fun debugging the code then typing the listings themself

(I think I learned more M/Code from getting other peoples code working properly than writing my own!)

I was more into my consoles when I was younger but here's my lot.
    Commodore 64
    NES
    Game Boy
Sega Mega Drive - then got a Mega Drive 2 (pointless I know)
    Sony Playstation
    Inherited old 486
    Had a P1 - 75mHz (This was awesome running 95)
    Olivetti P2 think it was a 166
Broke that one above but they replaced it with an AST P2 200mHz
Tiny (Argh) 450mHz - hated it but it lasted for years.
AMD 3200+ with Nvidia Geforce 6600gt (actually my first seperate graphics card)
Moved onto an Xbox and now have a 360 as well.
    Now I've got on order my AMD 5200+ X2 with a meaty 1gb (2x512mb) 7950 GX2.

    Can't wait!

Very short list for me, I will be putting in consoles, because like it or not, they are computers since they do computational work.

In chronological order (I think I also still have every single one of these somewhere)

    Commodore 64
    SNES
    Playstation
    Replacement for stolen PS1
Playstation 2 (shared with my brother)
Xbox (when MS did the JSRF and Sega GT christmas deal)
    P4 with a 128Mb Radeon X300 or something
    X2 3800 with a 256Mb 7800GTX (current PC)
    Gamecube
    PS2 Slimline
PSOne (you know the smaller, cooler looking one) with screen off eBay (shared with gf)
    Xbox 360
    Nintendo DS

Add in somewhere the original Gamboy, not sure where I got it on that list, I think it was either before or after the SNES.

Also my first PC, a 386 with Windows 3.1 (later upgraded to 3.11!!!! or something like that), which was slowly upgraded into an AMD K6-II 400MHz with a 1Mb GFX card I think. I can't remember when I got that, it was after the PS1 and I think before the PS2, and was upgraded around the time C&C Tiberian sun was out.

My brother also had his own PS1 and xbox, also our first PS2 (bought at lauch) crapped up with the usual DRE and he replaced it, selling a ton of my games in the process just so he could play the GT4 preview thingy

Ahh good memories. I think I need to hunt around on eBay for some of the PS2 games I miss. I think summoner and red faction have to be bought. Oh red faction, you were awesome.
