ebay listing legal advice - xbox 360

So if I purchased an xbox 360 and the seller mentions it's a core pack shows a few pics (not showing power supply or mentioing it) but I have already bought and paid for item, does this mean no power supply is included. i.e. is it possible to sell something under the name of core pack and not mention no power supply. Very confused and miffed here. Paid by paypal.

As far as I know, if he stated "core pack" it should include the power supply unless stated otherwise. He sounds like a snake.

Yeah, as far as I know, if 'Core Pack' is the official name for the entire bundle, then you're within your rights to assume it's got all working parts.

Please, please tell me that you either:
    - haven't got it yet and are just getting a little panicky
    or
    - bought it off someone with a really, really good feedback

It should imo come with the power supply, however if for some reason it doesnt then if you contact MS and advise them you have misplaced the power supply when moving house they should send you a new one afaik.

Sorry guys seems it's me being a bit paranoid. Just that you can't be too careful these days and I did panic a bit because it's expensive to buy seperate. Thanks for all your input, much appreciated.

Got the xbox today. Bad news when the console is turned at a 45 degree while running, it sounds like the disc is going to blow up. Never seen or heard of this problem and I'm totally gutted. I don't have the receipt as its an ebay listing. Plus some discs are scratched bad and the hard drive has a dent which looks like it will make the silver plauqe pop out. Totally gutted

You're not supposed to change the orientation of the 360 while it's running with a disc in!!.. It does warn you about this within the manual, and it has even been covered right here on HeXus.. unless I'm mistaken!

But yeah basically if you want it vertical, do so when off and same with if you want to have it horizontal. But why do you want it at a 45 degree angle!?.. It is not designed to operate at this angle, and especially shouldn't be moved into this angle while running.. So I'm not surprised it makes a horrible noise.

I'll just try to find the HeXus article covering it now.

I would be very suprised if that's true as other disc devices I have used have never suffered any such issues that includes, pc's, laptops, PS1, XBOX 1 etc. This is the first time I have ever seen this happen. Totally scared the living daylights out of me. 45 degrees was exagerated it was only a small change (when I picked up to check connections that led to this)

Yeah unfortunately it is true because of the way the drive is made.. I couldn't seem to find the HeXus article on it, but you can read up on it here.. Explains why it happens along with diagrams on how to get around the problem.

Seems it happens to others but somehow my one was far worse. There was a video shown and that was minor compared to mine. My one sounded like it was going to explode!

Hmm, you brought a core pack, but it also came with a hard drive? Or did you buy the hard drive separately from somewhere else?

Also, the scratching disc issue has been well publiscised hasn't it? I think it was posted on most forums when it was released.

Try give MS a call, good luck.

The xbox isnt designed to be moved while the disc is on as stated in the xbox manual. I think this is down to the speed in which the 360 spins the discs at and also as there is no balancing in place on all the DVD roms.

There was reports of several people doing this when the xbox was first lauched and it basically scratched hell out of there discs, obviously this isnt covered in the warrenty of the game manufacturers

You could try and give MS a call however if this is the only "fault" with the console as all the consoles are like this it would be very unlikely they will do anything
