I'm not sure about Download yet. Crap headliners, MCR, how did they get headline?!?!

Going to Gods of Metal in Italy which is the week before download, so will only be at download if the lineup improves.

Yeah, its my first year at download but according to the forums over at the download site, lots of people are very disapointed with the headliners, specificly MCR. Linkin Park are not so hated, Maiden are so obviously loved.

My music tastes extremely large and i have been listening to MCR for years now, along with alot of other more as people may say "Emo" stuff. But i love metal aswell, so for me, whatever happens should be great

Needs new monitor / speakers / headphones / keyboard.
Before that i need money :s

You bastard! The Saturday lineup is stunning - the other days not so much, but DT and Symphony X on the same day? AND Porcupine Tree? AND dgm? Progtastic.

I know! Porcupine Tree are my favourite band, seem them live 4 times so far! So that's what got me interested. But DT, Symphony X, Anathema (seen them before to), DGM, Demo, it's bloody good!

Also Italy being my favourite holiday destination, it ties in rather well!

bowling for soup played the main stage last year - they weren't bad at all - entertaining more

trying to put an inflatable banana into an inflatable sheep - and the ditty known as "in-between song surfing"

I do wish some people would put more effort into actually going to a festival to enjoy the bands they like (and find out about some more) rather than whinging about bands that they don't think deserve to be there.

Look at it this way - a kid may go to the festival to watch MCR or Linkin Park, and watch a load of other bands whilst he's there, and expand his musical horizon

More importantly, who's coming to camp Knox for a beer and some festival based tomfoolery?

Can't wait now..a week from now i'll be lying in a field surrounded by empty beer cans

I'm just hoping that all the rain we have at the moment is going to stop..maybe the sky is just throwing down all the rain now so we can have some lovely sun for download

What we want is weather like download 2005..was nice and warm, but not too warm..last year got a bit *too* warm for my tastes..

Another hexus meetup sounds good too =) What else are we going to do after Korn finishes on friday eh hehe, not as if we're going to see MCR..

Nah man, it was ridiculously cold in the evening in '05, what we want is the weather from '04.

Indeed a proper hexus meet on friday night sounds good, how about after the headliners finish outside the internet cafe, the most geek friendly place there.

Sounds weird man but it gets easier the more tents there are, you can use em as landmarks that way.

To be fair, I can hate them without ever having to listen to a single tune, how they were formed, their attitude towards the fans, press and the way they cling onto their status in the music industry.....

It just so happens the records are also a waste of time, and they're a terrible live act from what little I've seen.
