i'm glad i live at the top of a valley so there's not much light, should get a cracking view

although this is wales, i predict cloud & rain ruining it

I'll be using my 350D with my 70-300 1:4-5.6 IS USM lens and a tripod so i'm thinking i *should* get at least something interesting.

Ditto. Just need to get it back off my brother who has borrowed it for the afternoon. He managed to forget his 300 prime and 1.4 TC!

Great full moon views right now, taking 500mm f6 scope shots at 1/640th ISO200. Gonna also try with the 2x Barlow in, giving 1000mm focal length

Perfectly clear night here so QUICK how do I use my camera - it's a semi-decent pseudo-SLR Fuji S9600, what do I do what do I do....?

Set it to manual, set the aperture to about f/8.0, wind it out to maximum focal length (zoomage) and experiment with the exposure, probably about 1/250th for a sharp shot
