Right.. got home today to find out that the BBC had sent me a letter. So, i opened it and out falls two tickets, along with a covering letter. I'd requested a couple of free tickets to a radio comedy show called "The Unbelieveable Truth" a month ago and the tickets arrived in advance of the recording.
Only it turns out that i'm going to CERN with my college on the night of the recording. And to add insult to injury.. this is what the ticket says:
HOW ANNOYING IS THAT."The new panel game where four comedians tell lies and compete against each other to see how many unlikely truths they can smuggle past their opponents"
With Chairman David Mitchell
and panelists Jeremy Hardy, Sandi Tokswig, Alan Davis, Graeme Garden, Clive Anderson and others.
(and also in small print "This is a double recording")
A chance to go and see some of the funniest people on air (and in the case of David Mitchell and Alan Web on TV as well).. and i can't go because of a three day trip to Switzerland.. I was tempted to flog them on Ebay, but i'm giving them to my Gran as an 80th birthday present instead (this was my Mum's idea on the pretext that she would be able to go)
