Problem with Googlecheckout is if they do release an auction site they will lock you to using it then hike the prices up.....just like Ebay and Paypal!

As people have said, right now eBay is the best option due to its huge visibility & market share. eBid never managed to make much more than a small trolley ding in ebay's passenger door. Yahoo auctions were probably the best alternative while they lasted. Let's see how google manages, if or when it finally gets launched. Either way, a bit of competition for ebay wont do any harm for us end users - as competition generally forces prices down (i.e. fees) as they each try to outdo one another.
