Hexus broke today?

Is it me or are things going terribly slow and timing out again? Noticed it a lot this last few days.

Trying to edit the guide, and I just get the egg timer. I can refresh the page, but cant post the edited version

I had a slow patch this afternoon, it caused me to double post...

I thought it was just our crap bandwidth but i couldn't load pages for about 5 mins.

Was slow here too, but then I realised there was a class-full of kids taking a bloated online test which was killing our bandwidth. Even Google wasn't lightning!

Interestingly, if I edit the post using quick edit, it hangs, but if I click "go advanced" it posted right away. Hmmm.

hexus has been quite slow for me too but it seems to be very patchy.

we are aware of these issues that are affecting the site at times. We are currently going to work on upgrading some of the scripts and then moving certain parts of the site to a different servers.

You may see some downtime, specifically on the forums but we will notify you all in advance of this before we switch over.

It should make the whole thing much much faster as our servers are insanely quick, we just need a little re-shuffle .

I have noticed issues with the AJAX on the quick edit.

The forums will be worked on this weekend in a major way - so we will see if I can get it fixed and back to normal

As an aside, is there any particular reason that somtimes the forum forgets i've been on and re-sets when i last read threads?

I can soemtimes click the "new posts" link again and all the threads are back to being bold. If i click the "last unread post" button it takes me to the last one i read when i originally logged in, say an hour or more ago.

Just done it now. Re-set all the read threads to unread.

It's not a big deal, but can be annoying at times.

No idea how long it's been happening to me.

At first i thought i was when i re-queried it close to the session time out (20 minutes) but it happened at 7min just then.
