This has totally messed with my head. He seemed to be finally enjoying his life and career.
He was the one guy that everyone loved and respected, this is such a massive blow.

The word tragic doesn't quite cut it really.

He truly was a legend, I just don't know what to say.

I doubt it was steroids considering the WWE implemented its wellness program after Eddie Guerrero died to regularly test their wrestlers for drugs.

Also could people refrain from the typical anti-wrestling jokes, if you haven't got anything better to say then don't bother.

Was thinking that myself. In the paper today it said it was possible he had murdered his wife and 7 year old child.

Hardly a legend, if it turns out to be true.

I find it hard not to post about a bloke who (apparently) murdered his 7yo son and wife, in a sport that isn't a sport, getting praised as a legend and that this is a tragic event. The only thing tragic thing about this is the fact that 2 lives have been ended early.

Benoit will not be remembered in the way that some of you will want to remember him. He will be remembered for being a murderer and a coward.

I really don't know the mans body of work, ain't seen much wrestling since I was quite a bit younger but the day after a man and his family are found dead, when no clear details have been announced on anything (at least from what I read in the news article on the first page) I would restrain myself from branding the deceased a murderer or a coward, maybe thats just me.

The internet does of course give you somewhere to air your opinion on matters such as this, and thats a good thing, you should think a little more deeply about what your going to say before you put fingers to keys in future though or else you'll just look presumptuous and foolish.......like now.

You are in no position to predict how this man will be remembered until all the details of whats happened have come to light.

    Seconded, Knox.

Jumping to conclusions can result in one looking foolish when the facts are known.

It never said that he murdered them, for all you know someone could have killed all 3 of them, if you do work for the police authorities involved though please let me know.

And I think you will find it is called Sports entertainment, not sport

The man was a legend, he put his life into the businesses he worked for.

And again you are jumping the gun a LOT to say that a 40 year old man's death is not an early death, and that he is a murderer and a coward. I don't think a coward would compete in such an athletic industry in front of millions weekly for decades

See TBH I aint believing sh*t untill the toxicology reports come through, esp from the BBC now as there

    http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/benoitupdate

seems it isn't the only one though

Mind there has been the anti-roid push going on recently in quite a few wrestling franchises

I stand by everything i said. I would not have posted that if i hadn't looked at a number of websites confirming the details given out so far. But, if the reports are proved wrong, and therefore my comments also proven wrong, then i will be man enough to say sorry and retract my statement.

I wasn't talking about a 40 year old being an early death, i was talking about the death of the wife & son. By coward i mean the suicide, its an easy way out, its harder to face your problems head on, but believe me you feel better for doing so.
