8 weeks and 2 days now no nicotine has passed my lips, I am clean

Smoking was banned here in Ireland in all workplaces on Monday so no more tabs in the boozer but then I got there first. Is getting easier all the time and I dont think I will ever smoke again.

I gave up on new years day, I have had a few moments of weakness and had the occasional puff and of course the odd number (for medicinal purposes of course) but I really do feel better for it.

Of course the best thing about it is, is that I haven't had to go to France once since I gave up to buy any.

NOT HAPPY ABOUT STANDING AROUND WAITNG FOR HIM TO FINISH A FAG AGAIN!!

Plus he tastes like an ashtray.....

well it is a quantity thing, I was smoking up to 15 rollies a day and three to four doobs, now I do a bit of doobage in a pure pipe which possibly amounts to half a cigarettes worth and that is it. It is not perfect but then I wanted to get rid of my nicotine addiction not all my fun

it is definitely healthier than what I was doing.

    Cheers Kat, you snitch!!

Oops, I slipped up... It was only at weekends though, not during week days. Smoked all the time in Paris last weekend too, but haven't had any since. Really don't wanna smoke, but am in public or at pub.

It's cause Nicotene is amongst other things, a hunger repressant. You need time to get used to the your old level

Gave up several years ago, stopped for 3 and a half years, started again, stopped again a few of months ago. Second time was much, much harder than the first - had to do it in two steps - on the lozenges to give up the act of smoking, then had to give up them! Helped splitting it into two parts though - not just for me - but for my friends and collegues at work - I was giving them hell.

Don't you just envy those people who can have a few down the pub, then wake up in the morning and NOT want a cigarette?
Now go away before I taunt you a second time.

OK so I gave up ciggies on 26-01 and am still off them 3 months and 4 days later, is cool. I still think about a tab now and again but am a non-smoker now. It's great.
