I personally think Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw remake (think the origional is a bit cheesy) followed by Jason.

Leatherface in the remake is extremely intimidating by comparrison to the origional and the bit in the locker room near the end of the film had me right on the edge of the seat. The first 4 Jason Films were the best I thought as they all followed on from each other pretty well. After that he started getting resurrected in each film and it got a bit silly really. Love the twist in the oigional Friday 13th, it was the last film I actually saw out of all of them (seen them 3 to 8 then the first 2).

It has to be that clown from I.T.

It's the socks-with-sandals and the demonous breath as he leans over to install software on my laptop...

The Creeper from the first Jeepers Creepers.. (haven't seen the second) even if it did get a bit silly in places..

I'm old and jaded now so I don't really find many horror films that scary any more (sadly). I do remember seeing The Exorcist (with the subliminals) when I was about 15 and that scared the willies out of me (but then, I believed in such things back then!)

How about the first time you see Alien, I was quite young when I first seen it. First time you see it fully when it is hanging from the chains and pipes (shortly after the chest burster scene). Remember being terrified by it also intrigued!

Same for me with horror lately, seen so many when I was younger that now they don't bother me at all. Last one that actually made me cringe was the remake of Hills Have Eyes, just plain nasty and wrong in places but extremely good. Always gets me when a baby goes missing even though you know the child will be saved.

Favourite horror films of all time are Evil Dead 1 & 2 (Like the third one a lot but it is more comedy than anyting else). The Howling and American Werewolf in London are both classic horrors in every sense and are still creepy to this day. I also have a blood drenched dripping soft spot for Romeros zombie classics, especially Dawn (Also the remake which is awesome).

I'd go for Satan in The Exorcist myself. I had to walk home along a country road the night I first saw it and I nearly left a brown pile on the saddle every time a bird rustled in the bushes.

Pennywise is next though. (Quote Stephen King in the book "It's that focker Pennywise")

    The original Alien, and Zombies.

The feckers just keep coming and coming and coming and coming and coming.

Original Alien film scared the proverbial out of me, and i was unfortunate enough to be made to watch The Exorcist, Dawn of the Dead and Texas Chainsaw massacre one after the other when i was a nipper, and despite Linda Blair's horrifying portrayal of being possessed, it wasn't a patch on them zombies.

^You see I can never get into zombie films (I know this is heresy for a lot of people) but I've always found zombies just.. stupid.. to be honest... (sorry). 28 Days Later is a good one because the 'zombies' are a bit more believable (and fast!)

I never understood that; fear of zombies. You are in the woods, a zombie appears trudging toward you. You turn and walk briskly away. End of problem. Admitttedly, if there are loads of them, it's a bit trickier or if they are really, really determined. You walk briskly away, get in your car and drive home. You park, enter the house and go to bed. At 7am there is a spludgy knock at the door. That might be a problem.

Has to be said the modern portrayal of zombies is far superior. Dawn of the Dead remake sees them as agile as a normal person. Very intimidating and extremely viscious.

Unless they're the fast ones out of the DotD remake, which is an excellant movie, then mix them with Aliens

Right, thats no sleep for me for the next year
