    Moral ?

Complain till yer blue in the face and ask for a refund

I may be switching over to ADSL at the end of the 3 months... We'll see.
    Good stuff.

Also, if you have Virgin tv service then call and up and say your switching to sky. Say that Sky has such and such channels that i want, etc etc. They will give you more channels for fee and/or reduce your bill

Losing sky 1 and general pathetic service (ie. their guys showing up to 1 out of 4 booked visits ) have cost them about 60,000 customers since April iirc

Throttling is still being tested, was only meant to be up north past the midlands area, but its nationwide.

It will occur from 4pm to 12am, if you download over 1.5gb, you get throttled for 2hrs, if you get throttled at 11.59pm, u wont see full speed till 2am!!!! (Utorrent has a scheduler use it)

I rang and complained, has NTL/Virgin have brought this with them when they took over Telewest, I complained, had BT landline ready, and sky ready for the change over, they now give me loyal customer discount for LIFE, and its just over 50% off.

I now have a better phone package too, all uk 01 02 calls are free all day, all i have to do is hang up after 59mins for the fair use policy!

Google Virgin media broadband capping info a plenty on the cable forums, also look at the 2 contracts, 1 is for VM ADSL, 1 is for VM Cable, adsl users are even worse off, being capped in speed and amount, cable users are only capped on speed!!

Good luck to Branson, he even replied to my email i sent him direct, lets hope he rolls out the 50mbit soon. 100mbit trials are ongoing, hence the capping saga.

Thanks for that page . Virgin blokey came to look at my non-interactive telly box today. Upshot is I got a new box AND a new modem. According to that status page it's on 4 meg. According to speedtest I'm getting 3.6mb down 378kb up.

Still waiting for the dinky Samsung box to find the network and give me my channels back

Only Uma gets 20 meg anyway

Erm, no - its part of the official "service " nationwide now.
Or will be as soon as the "upgrades" are completed at the end of this month.

    It's 4 hours, not 2. So you'd be killed until 4am

This and the removal of SkyOne means I'll be moving when my contract is up.
(I don't care whose fault it was - VM didn't pay)

We pay £38 for the 20MB broadband, but my mums been on the phone to them recently about the better deals available elsewhere. The reps she's spoken to have all said that they cant offer the half price deal any more, as its now VM. Not sure if thats true or not, but im sorely tempted to just cancel the NTL subscription, get freeview, get my free orange broadband and switch everything over to VoIP
