    Favourite Oven Chips?

I was just browsing the chips aisle of Tesco earlier, so much choice! lets cut to the chase, what is the people's favourite? Not just brand, but the actual type too

Potatoes, chipped. Boil for 10-15 minutes, shove them on an oven tray with a bit of salt, black pepper and olive oil. In the oven at 180C for about 30-35 minutes. Just how my mum makes them!

Well all oven 'chips' are disgusting compared to a proper, fried chip tbh...but last year in the total absence of a deep fat fryer (and a lack of funds to buy a decent one...I posted pics of what happened to the cheap rubbish one we tried haha) I got used to eating them.

Out of all the ones I tried I never found one I liked, they all tasted of well..nothing except a bit of grease and umm thats it. Best of the lost was the mccain french fries though - being smaller and thinner than most oven 'chips' they tended to cook better

Instead of oven chips I much preferred to have Birds Eye Waffles, mccain hash browns or (being always on offer @ £1), Tesco Finest frozen roast potatoes. They were rubbish as roast potatoes, but actually worked quite well as general prepared potato
