Re: December Social - Milton Keynes

The club won't accept me (me<21, club= 21+), so they've gone without me. Ah, the joys of being young!

So long as everyone else has a good time though, i don't mind (much ). And, i get to use Rai's computer (although while slightyly drunk... )

'Tis really good going except for that though

It's so good to put names to faces too , i think that's about 17 or so hexusites i've met this year (+any 'significant others' and kids)

btw Rai, your keyboard is unnatural lol

EDIT: under the influences of soberness, i can see that this post contains too many smileys...oops!

Re: December Social - Milton Keynes

Sair, I and Zak Jr popped over to meet the crew at Bletchley Park today

What a very cool, interesting and very "complete" pack of wild cards we have here

I hope, and pray, that Milton Keynes survives tonights onslaught, because I doubt, very much, that the town has ever had so much intellect, coolness and diverseness in one bundle of good people. Only HEXUX could attract so many nice, clever and genuine people to one place. I think Tiggerai needs a serious round of appluase for her people gathering skills. I really do

It's really really nice to meet more of you, and I keep my finger crossed that Animus doesn't end up, asleep, on a train all the way to Euston AND back out to Wolverhampton

again

Hope it all goes well guys.....and that Rai's "Pig Farm" can support the bacon sandwich demands in the morning

I assure you, my dear chap, that it'll just get messy!

You and that keyboard are prolly in the right place

Cos Lee, and his "shapes" might be best avoided

Was definately a blast!

Oh and Elyk learnt a valuable clubbing lesson, never, ever, EVER go out for the evening wearing trainers and a sweatshirt as club bouncers will give you grief every time!

I got back at 12:30am from the club and i think the hardcore clubbing lot were just getting started. Was nice to meet the new faces like Lucio/Bazzlad and their other halves, I sorry that you didn't get in Elyk.

Tiggerai as always did a brilliant job organising everyone. Hats off to you !.

Hope to see you all at the next one next year

Re: December Social - Milton Keynes

I would like to thank everyone who has made the effort to turn up this weekend, I have had an absolute blast.

It's been bloody hard work but I have had the most awesome time, and it's meets like this that keep me organising them.

Right and so for the write up.

It all started at 5.30 on friday afternoon in a wet and grotty london. Funkstar had flown into luton in the morning and had been pottering around London for the afternoon. After attempting to take the Central line and giving up when the delays were getting silly, we walked in the rain to Bank and got home that way.

On the train home I was having issues getting my words out (theme for the weekend) and some interesting sentences were produced. "Can I go bed to home yet" "Yes, I've got the info for that recipe". WHAT? I wasn't even drunk yet.

Agent and Lee@Scan got into MK by about 10.30 so Dinner was arranged (Pizza, yum) and a bit of drinking, before we all gave up and went to bed.

Saturday morning - We arrived at Bletchley to find Bazzlad and Mrs Bazz already there, and The Animus and Elyk turned up a few minutes later.

Pottering over to Bletchley park we bumped into a large fish out of water (Moby) and carried on to The home of Colossus.

We had a good mooch around the exhibitions, and when looking at the ration tins (cake and chocolate do win wars btw, I'm on to something...) we bumped into Flt Sergeant Jack Blomfield, who showed us his squadron and the photo of him in his flight gear. A most humbling experience for those of us who have never really experienced a threat against our freedom (apart from the Labour government), Jack was a member of the caterpillar club, meaning that he had saved his life by parachute (Goldfish club members ditched in the sea).

While on the Tour, we were lead round by Jean Valentine who was one of the ladies in charge of making sure the Bombe machines were set up to find the days cipher codes. it's amazing that in the war no questions were asked, she was phoning codes to an extension, that turned out to be the next hut. This woman was cool. I would never mess with her!

Zak, Sair and Zak Jnr turned up for a quick coffee and a chat and then had to take Jnr back to get him fed.

On to TGI's for dinner - via my flat for the cake... I almost forgot the cake... OMG!

Re: December Social - Milton Keynes

We got to Yates for a pre dinner drink where we were joined my Kangalis and Dod (Tigs' 'rental unit) and Priya, my housemate.

Moving over to TGI's TiG met us there ready for the evenings entertainment

99Flake and Chicken were having a nightmare with the M1 so turned up a bit late.

The meal was nice, and finished off with a massive Fudge cake (Definitely NOT a lie.) and a Richard Branson-a like floated across the restaurant courtesty of the helium balloons.

Everyone left in Convoy back to my flat, where ALL the boys got ready in the time it takes 1 Tigs to get ready. (much miracle working has to be done, perfection takes time!) At this point we lost Agent to a pain in the head, so went home.

Back up to the city where we were having Trainers issues with the fashion police bouncers in MK. For some reason they're a bit nazi-ish. So we met back up in Yates' for another few rounds and to collect Lucio and Lucio+1 and Moby-Dick and Mel, and the Bedford Raving crew contingent before trooping over to Oceana.

This is where the fun started.

Turning up before 10 at Oceana everyone could get in without a hitch, until we got to Elyk and his trainers again... so back to my flat for some spare shoes of Lees, back to the club where they had issues with the tiny umbro logo on the t-shirt. We were also about to get ID'd - My fault, i keep getting ID'd at the moment. So a plan was forged where Elyk could come back here to chez Tigs and be set up with all the Mod cons for a couple of hours.

I went back to the club and had another couple, a bit of a dance and a chat. Mum took the Disco dollies upstairs for a boogie while we were in IceHouse raving away.

Dod and Bazz were discussing all things intelligent over a £10 bottle of mini-moet.

At about 2 everyone had decided that as much fun could be had as possilbe by this point and that not being as young as we once were, called it a night.

Re: December Social - Milton Keynes

Sunday morning - I collected Bazz and Mrs Bazz and Animus from their respective sleeping places around the city, to come back to decimate the Pig Farm.

After a few rounds of bacon and sausage sandwiches, Lee, Bazz and Mrs.B left for the station.

So here I am left with Funkstar, Elyk and The Animus for another hour until the next set of trains. Then funkstar and I are going to the 'rentals for dinner and spong, then chilling out with Robin hood, Top gear and Long way down tonight.

What a blinder of a weekend, and thankyou to everyone who has made it this good.

Next meet is Birmingham in February.

Can I go back to bed yet?

Hey, I can't take ALL the credit for robbing Mr Edmunds - it was a solid team effort!
(And I got home - went to the pub ahd challenged him again - this time one on one - and I still managed to win! Take that "Amusement with prices!")

Had a great time, Linds and I thoroughly enjoyed it all, and Elyk, if you DARE come to the next meet:
1) Without Shoes.
2) Without ID.
3) Without watching lock stock

There will be trouble. I'll set Mrs Bazzlad on you. (And she has a hell of a left hook )
