It's filthy as well, but I've just cleaned it out and that'll be end of it. Marked my house number of both sides in big black marker.

Well done mate, its not worth making something of.

When i was renting my last place, a care in the community case was living nextdoor. One night he ended up having such an argument with the girl upstairs the police ended up coming round. After he'd threatened some physical violence towards her, i made the mistake of saying "no, your not going to do that". He never forgave me for it. When i was moving out he complained endlessly and was generally disruptive. In retrospect I should of said nothing, as I think it was just an idle threat and the police where already on the street. Whilst I felt all i'm alpha male, protecting the ladies, aren't i awsome, it probably did nothing to deflate the situation, and given the fact he thought he was doing nothing wrong ment i made an enemy for the next 6 months of my tennancy.

i dont know if anyone else has said it but ive seen advice on this before, buy invisible markers and write on it somewhere your name and something else maybe address and if it gets robbed and you see it you can report to police and prove it.

Also some councils are bringing in a thing that is a little tracker on bins, some people have decided these are the council spying on them lol but tbh its useful.

Good idea, but it's a small black box - the police wouldn't help, even when they finally finished laughing

They take it very seriously round here. Only last week, a man was sent to the gallows for mixing different coloured glass and not removing the labels.

hehe. The council can barely cope with cutting the grass, nevermind high tech spying operations

You can actually buy those kinds of things in special spy shops or online. Proper tracking devices. Although, if I was going to go through the trouble of buying stuff to catch her, I'd probably rather fill it with tar, feathers, and explosives, and then remotely detonate it as shes sneaking off with it. That may be classed as terrorism though. A less destructive option could be to dig a really deep hole next to the bin, and cover it with twigs and leaves...

That kind of thing could just escalate though, and could both end up having to come up with more elaborate ways to outsmart each other.
