I am going to have to dissapoint you there!
Hows about a slap on the back and a pint of ale?
I don't see the point of this thread at all. People are allowed to say what they want to. We have interesting discussions. It is only when insults fly or things get out of hand that interventions are made.
Not around too often!
Disturbed has become someone who we look at with great respect. He's a really good forum member, for a YEAR now..... he took a mild salp once, and he took it like a man.
His post is very pertinent. He is right to wonder...."why is this thread in existence?"
Wel....we dont like shutting stuff....we leave a lot of it out to air....brave huh? Or just stoopid....maybe both. But it is an unusual thread tbh.

I cant think of a way to reply to your post without people thinking am a kinky git..so stuff it..ill reply
That type of thing stoo is best saved for elsewhere (not with you, with my girlfriend)
I wanted to attend the last meet but was working and they wouldnt give me time off!Really annoyed that the local Hexus meet is on the same day as my stock take, otherwise would have been there like a shot (and a pint, and another pint, and another pint...)
TBH, you have got to be a bit of a numpty to get a ban around here, pretty much the only instant bans handed out are for spammers - they normally get reported by the general populace *very* quickly, and are dealt with accordingly.
Other than spammers, bans are always discussed by the mod/admin/staff team and are very few and far between, and are only ever the very last resort after we've given the person numerous attempts to stop the behaviour which called them into question in the first place.

And you are getting those thoughts Tirade, what tirade?
From Dictionary.com
Tirade
1. a prolonged outburst of bitter, outspoken denunciation: a tirade against smoking.
2. a long, vehement speech: a tirade in the Senate.
3. a passage dealing with a single theme or idea, as in poetry: the stately tirades of Corneille.
There is no tirade here only people politely disagreeing with your viewpoint. The only person I can see being overly sensitive is you.
I have read and participated in the thread that has caused a rumpus. Poster(s) were repeatedly asked politely to drop the subject by the mods and this request was ignored. The mod in question then used his discretion to warn of a suspension/ban and this was further challenged even after the mod had said open another thread or complain through the correct channels. There simply isn't anything to see here, move along please.
Perhaps because I have a thousand plus posts you will consider me a loyal foot soldier, one (among many) to be rallied for the cause. Well I'm not sure whether that insinuation was tongue in cheek, but if not, I resent the accusation, as I suspect will many others. I'm certainly not one to shy away from telling people in authority what I think, but there are ways and means to do this. If I didn't get satisfaction I would realise that the place/forum/group that I was questioning was not for me and go and find one that was.
If I didn't think that I could express my views without fair moderation and fear of being banned I wouldn't bother to post!

I started this thread less than 2 hours ago. It was immediately seized upon and censored by moderators and contibutors have used analogies ranging from Nazism to the case of Jean Charles de Menezes. And it is felt that a discussion about freedom of expression isn't valid? On the contrary, it sounds that we are all very much enjoying the discussion which will develop, if it is allowed to, when others voice their opinions.
I still do not understand the forum rules. As I have asked, what rule was broken by the person in the other thread please and why am I not able to quote a moderator's comments from that thread without them being deleted by a moderator?
If this is a freedom of expression that is not allowed just because it isn't, then will Hexus just say so. In future, I will then try to agree with everything the mods say. This appears to be what you prefer?
be nice, don't create issues that don't exist....and be nice. ....oh...and toe the line, even if you don't understand it. oh...and be nice
For the other members......who don't often agree with me at all..... that sounds a tad silly.Originally Posted by santa claus

Do I wanna be here? If so....then by all means keep joining in. I love that...
But don't start a thread that is fueling a non existent arguement. We dont have a rule about that...
but I tell you another rule we don't have.
Always breathe.
And if you need telling rules like that, then best avoid creating weird threads.
However...I do salute you for upping our average post count, for which our advertisers will be very pleased
