    Re: Music banned, what next...books?

What if the clubs just banned all crap music? That would eliminate rap entirely.

I wonder what they would think of ordinary Power Metal? Quite often that advocates killing dragons, demons and even Orcs. "In Flames you Burn", by Dream Evil seems to advocate beheading everyone in the world. God knows what they would think of the wonderful Dragonforce, who suggest that you should always ride everywhere with your sword held high. How lunatic is that?

It's a fine line, but I really don't think that this particular piece of crap is much worse than most gangsta rap. It's all about drugs and anarchy. Not like the good old days of Hawkwind and the Sex Pistols.

I've always been under the impression (possibly wrongly) that E was in fact dangerous in that it's hard to know how much water exactly you should drink with it. Too little or too much and you can have problems? Anywa bit OT there sorry!

You are indeed wrong. If you were right, about a million people could potentially die every weekend in the UK alone.

Saying that though, poor information on such matters is what killed Leah Betts. She effectively died from a water overdose because she was so convinced it was important to drink loads of water whilst taking ecstacy.

A drug that changes your perception of the world?

There are many issues with it, for instance it effects the bodys long term production of ceritonin, this is a very important drug if you want to be happy.

    It's serotonin, you mean.

Like most things in life, taken in moderation it will do you no harm. As shown by my previous post, even something as potentially harmless as water can kill you if you "abuse" it

Ahhh that reminds me of this amazing page:

    Re: Music banned, what next...books?

I can't find it at the moment, but there was a bar chart on the BBC site a while back that had all the legal and illegal drugs ranked by how dangerous they were.

At the top end you had your Heroin, Crack, Booze, Ciggies, Crystals and that, and right down the bottom were Es. The only 2 drugs considered safer were Khat (a sort of leaf thing you chew for a buzz) and Poppers (gay head rush in a bottle )

Pretty much, you have to go out of your way to get into trouble on pills. Dance like a monkey for 7 hours without having a rest or a drink.

If you sip a drink, have a rest now and again, and don't **** about, they are are safe as houses.

I've known people who take 10 or so over the course of a night, a double drop (2 pills at the same time) every 2 1/2 to 3 hours, and never had any sort of incident.

Maybe feeling a bit sick when they are coming up and thats about it.

Compared to charlie, or long term even booze and ciggies, Es are as safe as illegal drugs are going to get.

EDIT - Other drugs are avalible, your experience may vary, Es are illegal, don't take them, etc.

Ecstasy - A Drug so strong , it makes white people think they can dance...

Having been to the funeral of someone who died from warfarin poisioning due to a dodgy batch of pills , they are still not something to be taken lightly.

    Re: Music banned, what next...books?

Yeah, as far as I know, the actual ecstacy is ok but the crap it gets cut with can kill people. The water issue is supposed to be less of a big deal. You just need to drink enough so you don't dehydrate from all the dancing and acting like a nob. To die from too much water, you have to drink a ridiculously large amount of it.

Perhaps it would be best to ban water, just to be safe.

Brighton concil are problably doing this right now. Of course the sea front could be a problem, so they are going to have to put a big diamond based saterlight in space, to direct the suns rays down, and evaperate all the water (we all know vapours are safe).

Wouldn't surprise me. I bet their first choice was to just ban people though, so none of us can be offended by anything. Then they realised that some of the council members are people.
