I would say it's very important. I currently have a temp admin job after finishing uni and it's really not want I want to do, it's just for the money. Makes it so hard having the motivation to get up early. Of course it's very highly paid either so that doesn't help
Actually, I know a guy who works in IB working 80 hour weeks for mega money and he [says he] enjoys it! I was quite hoping TheAnimus would contribute as I know he works in that sector so I wonder if he enjoys his job.Originally Posted by Lucio
Job satisfaction is a huge thing to anyone at some point in there career. Whether your working in a high flying job or just a straight forward manual job, it gets to a point where you just need some sort of satisfaction to tide you over til you retire. I know people at both ends of the scale, some are happy and some arent.
IMHO it all depends on how ambitious you are to how much your job satisfaction matters. Money is a big thing too, however if you imagine having enough money to do whatever you want? I admit, for me that would be great, but you can only spend your money when your out of work. You still have to go out and make a living somehow, thats why its important to enjoy what your doing
Im at an early stage in my career and have many goals to achieve, many of which I already have in my life so far. We all have our up/down days (or weeks depending on where you work), and right now for me im having quite a stressful time at work, working over 50 hours a week (I have worked a 90 hours week once or twice) but I do get great job satisfaction at the end of the projects.
Just my 2 cents worth
