Recipe noted Shall try in the morning (maybe), as for now though, everyone else is asleep (or at least trying ), and me banging about the kitchen wouldn't really help them
But that would completely change the physics of the week and the history of pancakeism!Originally Posted by tiggerai

Ah yes, that would also be a very good reason
Yes i know... Fat tuesday and all that. but it would be better on a friday, not tuesday as its a silly day of the week and also gets in the way of my bowling commitments.
But friday is also a silly day of the week, it's the time of the week when people get CBA (Can't be Arsed ) syndrome.
After a hard week's work, you get home and then don't want to do anything useful, including feed yourself in some cases. The stuff you do do is purely out of neccessity
I've postponed ours till Sunday, wasn't happening tonight, if that's any consolation.

day off tomorrow, i think i might extend it!
oh it is tomorrow... im now on my day off
Alternatively, 4oz flour, one egg, half a pint of milk (plus pinches of sugar and salt). Imperial units are easier to remember if you ask me.
What exactly is the point of those packets of pancake mix? I had a look at one in the supermarket once, and it reckoned that all you had to do was add milk and one egg, as if tyhat was some great selling point. Surely therefore it's just an overpriced bag of flour with a bit of sugar and salt in?
I was working tonight, and the kitchen is a mess anyway, but I might have to make some later in the week. My favourite used to be sugar and currants, or golden syrup. The absolute best pancakes I ever ate though had butterscotch sauce on them- absolutely delicious, I can still remember them over 15 years later.
i think i've used that mix funkstar speaks off as a student, the nice people of ASDA were selling if for 19p a pack, cheaper than the flour.
actually thats worth noting, sieve your flour (or buy the no need for sieving stuff!)
