"Ladies and Gentlemen, take my advice: Pull down your pants and slide on the ice"
We kicked off with savoury pancakes.
The contents that we prepared for this course were:
* A carbonara-like dish made of greens, cream, cheese and garlic
* Fried eggs
* chopped up (then fried) potatoes, bacon, courgettes, onions and tomatoes
* A very slim polish sausage (forgot the name) - I'll check it and report back if anyone expresses interest
And the above proved sensational!
For afters, for those that could eat anything more any time soon, there were pancakes with a mix-and-match selection of toppings/fillings:
* Squeezed lemons and oranges
* Maple syrup
* Honey
* Banana
* Blueberries
* Dark chocolate (melted over hot water with double cream).
Oh, and my recipe for the "British" pancake mix we used (and which is identical for Yorkshire puddings, incidentally) was:
* 4oz plain flour
* Half pint milk
* 2 eggs
Using only half the milk, whisk it all together with electric blender for about 20 seconds, then add the rest of the milk and whisk for a further 20 secs.
Leave for half an hour before using the mix.
Cheers
Bob
i just guess...
