I use a similar tool in Firefox - if you use Greasemonkey, the script is available from:

    eBay Negs 1.0 – Userscripts.org

Basically it adds a direct toolhaus negative/neutral link to any ebay username link on the site.

If you think about it, it doesn't really matter. The seller doesn't actually need to leave negative feedback. As a seller you just file a non-paying buyer report to Ebay, the offender get a strike against them and you get your fees back.

Of course the seller needs to leave negative feedback. If i see one comment about not paying or taking their time to pay etc, i will most likely block the bidder in question and cancel their bids. There needs to be a way of identifying the time wasters.

Ebay should keep its genuine customers happy by clamping down on joke buyers instead of helping them. They don't need to provide good customer service though due to the total lack of competition.

Admitedly, after 7 days you can file a non paying bidder report and get a final value credit but thats not much compensation for the time wasted and hassle cause by non paying and/or scam bidders . By then its usually too late to sell through a second chance offer and you are left with the hassle and expense of relisting. Why not include an option to set a required payment deadline of 24 hours (more than reasonable imo) as already available with buy it now items.
